Laughable how everyone hated on these when early leaks started but once people see the exclusivity and resale they say “it’s growing on me.” Lmao. No, the price/hype is slapping you in the face.

I actually like when Buckets gives these different perspective ratings. Just like art, you look at sneakers through different lenses. Totally agree with the “vacuum” perspective, btw. Cant wait for the review on the lows 🤞🤞

The reason these are so pricey isn’t because of fragment lol. That definitely adds to the hype but the reason is because they created this bullshit artificial exclusivity in the market by not really releasing them to the public, the people that want to wear them. The large majority of people that got them were friends & family, celebrities, higher ups in companies, and resellers that botted the fuck out of the releases. Only a very small percentage of people that purchased were people that got extremely lucky and hit on a raffle. If they released on snkrs and weren’t so backdoored and botted, they would be sitting around 800-1200.

The color blocking is heavily inspired by a sample pair from 85. There are some pics if you Google around for a bit. That makes this even less off an effort. Especially considering that its Travis, Fragment and Jordan combined.

Everyone is bitching that the J 1 Electro Orange looks like an unfinished shoe with too much white in the back of the shoe. Yet you love these, which are the same way in reverse with way too white on the side panels and the front. 🤷‍♂️ If these weren’t a TS collab shoe, no one would want it.

Respectfully the shoe isn't anything special IMO the color blocking isn't that good the lows are better IMO. Who wears fragment clothing except Avatars in Pokemon Go. Salutes homer and buckets.

I love Jordan brand but the resell for them just does not make "cents" to me. Not paying 3K for a $200 shoe. Much like the Yeezy slides I'm not paying $200 or $300 for a $60 dollar slide. Just my opinion. I mean if I want a shoe bad enough I will pay resell but I do have limits and 3k is passed my limit lol. The color blocking has grown on me, and I like these more than Travis’ and Fragment’s original Jordan 1’s, especially after learning about the unreleased og sample that the colorway is based off of. 8.5/10, but screw the resale prices. I’ll be trying for the lows

Couldn't agree with you more about the collaborative point. Fragment didn't do anything but a stamp on the heel. SMH. The brand is so overrated. Haven't seen any aesthetically impressive collab yet.

So the story behind these is that hiroshi saw a sample pair that never released from the 80's, and he wanted to make it his own. HOWEVER, when talking to Travis about it, travis wanted the og fragment colorway but with the travis swoosh. Eventually they came to the agreement that one pair would be the sample and one would be the og frags, although trav didn't have a preference over which, hiroshi felt that if both frag high models looked the same with a different swoosh, there'd be no reason to get one over the other. So; hiroshi decided the sample pair would be the hightop with travis' swoosh, and the lowtop would be an aged pair of the og frags.

lets see if the energy was matched with red heritage version, color blocking is still the same leather might be better on these bad boys.... lets see if we caught us another hype trout!!!🐠

This colorway was inspired by a 1994 sample. I loved this colorway from the first time that I saw it!

I’ll take a shot for the lows’s on SNKRS but if I don’t get them no big deal great review and I would never pay over retail for anything that is Travis Scott

Hype aside. I think this is a very dope pair of sneaker. It gives a fresh color blocking for air jordan 1 high, instead of the same colorway we have been seeing again and again such as bred toe, black toe and the chicago colorway blocking.

Finally picked up a pair for $2500 & they are my new faves. As a car guy, simple aesthetics are always the best. Do not like Off-Whites because they have too much going on, they remind me of ricers with their fart canisters, ground scraping body kits, huge flying wing & rims angled to travel through time.

I love my 1st travis Scott 1 pair way more than these The resell price is absolutely ridiculous. Never would pay $3500-4000 for these.

I don’t know why they tried to recreate the wheel with the white on this shoe. People love the og fragments and the resale value is ridiculous. If you had a chance to re release that without diluting it, they should’ve just did that.

I may be biased because I hit on the Travis Scott Frag 1s on the Travis Scott website for retail. Since day one leaks I loved the color blocking and then I learned that the color blocking is based off an unreleased/sample color way of an 1985 Jordan 1 which is super cool. The pink stash pocket is a small detail but it’s so cool. Overall I like this shoe and would have gone for it even without the Travis Scott or Fragment name. I also like the highs more than the lows. I rate these as a 9 out of 10 excellent shoe.

I tried for these just because and took an L. Tried for the lows and didn’t really care for them either..another L. Time went on and I hit exclusive access on the lows and after having them in hand I really love the lows. Based on what I’ve seen with the highs I absolutely prefer the Lows and I don’t even like low top sneakers. The color blocking and attention to detail sold it for me. Definitely happy I have them now.

yeah i do agree. like off-white does put something from their flavor that is obviously collaborative to another brand for example. It's like a child that has looks or facial features from both of her parent. Slapping a logo on a shoe doesn't mean that you have really collaborated or contributed from a design point of view. Not all hype shoe are well thought out. It's just creating hype without any substance or value in design. it's just a good shoe to make some profit if you got them for retail. I'll give it a 5.

I don’t really get why people are complaining about the lack of collaboration in these. 90% of all fragment Nike releases are simple. This is basically a super collaboration of 2 of the most hyped Jordan 1s in the last 10 years, the fragment 1s and the Travis 1s. I don’t know what else people expect. The price is so wild on them because they are so limited. The lows will be more plentiful, but in a couple years time people like buckets and yourself will appreciate them more.

The color blocking makes them garbage. Details are always cool but hype is the only selling point for these. S/O to Buckets. He gets it.

They just took the Reverse Royal 1 samples and flipped the swoosh while adding Fragment and Travis Scott markings. Just capitalizing on hype. The lows are better and seems like they put more effort into them as well

This shoe looks about as lazy as the recent Jordan 1 Electro Orange. Like a kid was playing around with the color blocking. The lows are the stronger pair for sure, and that goes for the OG's too. I think they had to make it a frag collab since the lows barrows the color blocking from the original jordan 1 frag.

The lows got more character and by far better.
