Good insight and analysis on the game play yet again. Especially that last minute play caught my attention. At 11:55 mark I was sure red would drop it back to the blue line from the corner. Yellow made himself open perfectly. All five got in the zone there and with some patience they might have had some time to tame the puck and pull the goalie too. But my point this time is: Did red even saw him there? Could some people play with such camera angles they simply can't see enough? Yes, it's a fast paced game, chances come and go, and most people are way more offense oriented than for example myself and want to score goals as the first priority. But every time I play, I can't but wonder if people aren't actually seeing each other, and not just be greedy and/or dumb and won't share the puck or make silly passes because of that? Like you said, there was 30 seconds left in the game, so there's no need to be that desperate and try to score the fastest kinda goal possible, but if what we saw here is the only option you actually see you could do, then that's what you do.

Red had very little time in the corner. If he turned right instead of left into the check, maybe he buys more time and can extend the play. He's mainly seeing blue drive to the net so he's trying to find that play as soon as he gets the puck. The option to yellow at the point is there but he's more inclined to send the puck to blue on the chance it does go through. Whether he can or can't see yellow at the point seems irrelevant in this play because of the chance in front but in general, it is an option many players neglect. If it's tied to the inability to see that player at the point, then they need go change their camera view because they will never become elite unless they can see where every player is at all times. If they can't see their players at the point, then they also can't see the backcheck from the other team closing in on certain plays. It's either tied to lack of trust in defenseman or feeling the need to gamble with control of the puck or to send it in a lane that's potentially covered in front or behind net. What we see and what the player sees in milliseconds of time will be different based on the skill of that player. They can absolutely control this puck if they were a better team. The game would have been different if they were a better team. This is a chl team against a nhl caliber team so on paper, of course, they won't be better. We can't judge what an elite level team would do compared to a chl team as that doesn't match up. We can only see the little things they do and give potential stepping stones to get them further along against a team that was better in the long run. I'd say losing by 1 against a team that's supposed to be 3 tiers higher in skill, is pretty solid.

@@HackAttack34 I'm not familiar with this league concept at all nor it's skill differences and how teams match up. I just saw a good possible chance for a pass to the D-man who positioned himself well and felt a little sorry for him not getting the puck. It sure ain't easy combining fast pace with patience, and it's easier to spot more things when not playing yourself. And if these guys played a one goal game against a much more better team, I say good job to them.

@Tauno211 I got you. You'd be surprised just how often that happens then. Many forwards believe they're too good to pass it back to the point ever. Those are the guys that turn the puck over in the double digits. Not good at all. The nhl team should have been a lot better than what they showed. Looks like they started trolling when up 3-0 and almost cost them.

@@HackAttack34 Not surprised at all. I mostly play quick plays with randoms and well, you know what they're like. I have a club with my brother and sometimes we try club games, but he doesn't like the competitive aspect of those and doesn't play nearly as much as I do anyway. I'm on PS4 and can't find any 6vs6 games with good connection(from Finland) so it's quick plays or other random people in eashl 3vs3 for me.

At 3:50 I get what you’re saying about green but from what I can see he only stopped once he kinda reached the “point of no return” and yellow still hadn’t passed it. It looked like an annoyed stop to me, not one that he would’ve done in the normal course of play, but that’s just my opinion

He could have dragged his foot on the blue line and kept his momentum. By stopping, there's no chance to get him the puck. A lot of passes can be made right at the blue line but they have to keep their speed or it'll never work.

@@HackAttack34 I don’t disagree at all, I just think in this case green didn’t trust yellow to make the play after he waited so long, I see it a lot in drop-ins when 2 players aren’t on the same page
