Ares Star Fighter Inferno is it good in Star Citizen 3.23 ? Today we Are testing that and against ERT Hammerhead. Will it be bad as in 3.23 PTU or is it improved now after few updates ? Stick around and find out.

i think s7 weapon on this ship and ION version act like a s4-5 weapons. they should make the weapon's damage much higher since the ship has low shields.

I agree with you, They should buff capital ship HP instead of the nerfs they did to the Ares. Especially how they made the poor Ion almost useless and my least fun ship to fly right now

they're trying to figure out how to make these ships good against larger ships without being absolutely cracked against small targets. hopefully they figure something out, because their current kneejerk balances are just not it. Personally i think these ships should fly similarly to a Constellation/Corsair but with greatly improved forward acceleration and braking, but unfortunately poor maneuverability doesn't solve the problem all on its own.

@@AJ-em2rb It's a very mobile S7 turret. How is it not supposed to crack small ships easily? They should have thought of that before coming up with the idea.

I melted mine a couple of days ago, it was fun last patch, but solo it isn’t so great anymore. For the same money you better use an Andromeda or Corsair against ERT targets and that’s fine. Maybe the F8C with full Deadbolts will work better btw. Had some issues with the Andromeda though. Twice in a row I lost the left top engine nacelle. I survived, but that never happened before, very weird. I got a Glaive and Blade atm for up to HRT. Great fun but not sure yet which of the two I’ll keep for now. Still not convinced by Master Modes as it is atm. And the name tags spam is awful. It all needs serious work. Cheers o7

I used the inferno lots of times in 3.22, after the nerf though it was not doing its job during xenothreat and the release event of 3.23. Corsair is the ship to go with now.

Sadly it is still bad. But you can melt it and take other ship instead and you can play.

My Inferno may be staying in the hangar for a while after an ERT contract. I did not enjoy it at all. I'm too use to the way things were before 3.23. The Inferno replaced an Eclipse because of too many misses.

Took a bounty mission in an inferno, had to kill a Hull-A. That hull-A took 20% of my rounds before it popped. It took way too long. They nerfed the inferno too much.. :(

yes CIG decides some thing is too strong they take it from 100 down to 15. They way over compensate.

I played 3.23 for the first time a few days ago, and I broke out the inferno. I ran 1 bounty, and went right back home. One of my fav ships is pretty worthless now

You are trying to yaw in atmosphere whilst going too fast! Keep speeds low and only turn in pitch. Roll into your turns and then you won’t get that wobble. You can sub target the turrets on the HH as well and take them out one by one

What do i think? I think that you complete missed that the Ares Starfighter is not supposed to fly solo and instead being part of a fighter squadron to take out large cap ships as a group. And that is the way ships are going to be balanced towards. Anyone who cries than that a Hammerhead killed them in their songle fighter didn't get basic design of SC at all. Also bounty missions will evolve too. They will require you to capture the target not blow up their ship, requiring actual bounzyhunter ships (Stalker, Hawk, Cutty Blue, Zeus MR) and multiple ships. They will also be missions where you can disable ships while flying or wait for it to land/dock somewhere to catch your suspect. Its not goingvto stay that easy and its not going to stay a simple "search and destroy" mission. And...... get used to fly that Ares in a fighter squad. Because that will be the only qay you get shit done with that ship in the future.
