A quick note on the mic: When i listened to the playback on the computer, it sounded alot clearer than what is shown here on youtube. Something with the compression here made it sound a little off compared to what i remember hearing during my testing, so im not sure what gives. I still stand by my thoughts on the mic.

I’m impressed with the mic quality. It’s hard to find a headset with a good mic. The compression in most makes the mic audio sound nasally, as if speaking with a head cold.

Never tried the HS60 so its hard to say. They would be roughly equivalent i think, but i ended up making these my daily drivers so i lean towards the sound blasters.

Hello, awesome review just got them today! Can you please confirm how the ambient monitoring works? When I press the monitor button it mutes all PC sounds and activates the mic. I thought I would be able to hear the game sound AND the ambient sound at the same time? Otherwise what's the reason not to lift the earcup to listen to something in the room?

I'm not sure about muting the game/desktop audio but other than that it sounds right. Makes sense it would mute that stuff though, it's supposed to help you hear your IRL surroundings without taking the headset off

Ok, i am between H6, H7 and hyperx cloud II, or could Alpha. H6 costs 60€ and all the others around 100€. Does it worth the extra 40€ for any of the others? Or should i pick the H6? Or does have anyone something else to propose? Thanks!!

Im not sure, haven't used the others but i've heard mainly good things. My vote is the h6 because that is what im familiar with and like them plenty.

hi, the updates done in the software , for example changing the MIC configuration with less ECO or changing the EQ are recorded in the memory of the headphones ? I mean, Can I configure the headphones in my windows and after that use the new configuration in my console or smartphone? I will use this headphones in my console, smartphone or linux computer... So my idea is to configure one day in one windows everything and forget the Creative software. thanks

I don't believe the settings save to the headphones but you'll have to contact the mfr support for an actual answer

Awesome! To be honest though, i'm not enough of an audiophile to answer that question. Quick question, are these headset glass friendly? I would really like a good headset with good sound, mic and comfortable for glasses for gaming ( i know thats alot but if i buy something i would like to get max amount of comfort).

@@b3us781 I don't wear glasses so i don't know. They didn't feel like they would be glasses unfriendly though as i've sometimes wore Gunnar "gaming glasses" for blue light reduction in the past.

I got my headset yesterday. Bass cannot be regulated in the software. I see that in your video too. Bass control is grayed out. So far I haven't been able to fix that. I've already tried everything. My old headset sound blaster fatal1ty sounds much more powerful than H6, especially in connection with my onboard sound card "Sound Blaster Recon3Di" Can you confirm that the bass setting is not working? Or is there a solution?

I bought these based on your review and the reviews of other Tech Tubers. The mic quality on this headset is impressive. As you know, there are more expensive headsets with very poor mic quality. Once I got these, I installed the software and tinkered with the settings. Once done, I called my son, a university student away from home, via Discord and he said it sounded like I was standing right next to him. On to gaming, my gamer friends said my voice quality sounded great and like my natural unaltered voice. Thanks for your thorough detailed review that helped me make my decision. I had a Corsair HS60 Pro and the mic quality was awful and iCue doesn't allow for mic adjustments on that model. At MSRP, the H6 is only $10.00 USD more, than the HS60 Pro, so the decision to get these and return the HS60 Pro was a no brainer. I returned the Corsairs as soon as the H6 arrived. I gamed last night for 5 hours with these and even though the headband could use some more padding, they were comfortable and I had no issues. Again, thanks for your detailed review. I believe at this price point, these are the most underrated headsets at this price point IMO.

I know that you already said that you prefer them over MH752, but from purely audio quality stand point which are your favorites? Sorry for bothering you over a question that you already answered, but after two days of searching it all comes down to these 2 and I really need closure. Also, for around 70-100$ is there another pair of headsets that you would recommend over both the H6 and MH752? Great video by the way! Very informative!

I would recommend the software yes, make sure the mic is plugged in correctly and the connector is clean too.

@@CoalitionGaming because I ask Creative if I can use the software you talk about with my headset and they replied if the software is to make audio adjustment to what you hear bass treble mids etc and it is their software it was made to work with their hardware or in other words their Soundcards. what i really confusing about this headsets is its bass. there are people said the bass is impress when there are many told me the bass is not exciting and need boost on software. worse than i can't find the shop in my local area to test it (can buy from online shop only). so my question is the bass good and have enough impact (for movie and music) with its default setting or when turn off all sound enhancement in the software ?

I liked the bass in this headset out of the box, but it has many EQ presets you can select in the software as well.

This doesn't have a battery, the lights turn on from being connected to the pc and you can control it in the headset software

They should be plug and play regardless. Make sure you are selecting the headset as your output device in windows and that the volume is turned up properly. You can also go to the windows sound mixer, scroll down, and reset to defaults there to see if that helps.

Hold up.... You said that all of that was being recorded through the headset mic but when you muted the mic nothing happened....

Yeah no clue what happened there other than the fact I muted and unmuted very quickly and it just didn't pick that up. All this audio was recorded thru the windows built in voice recorder so maybe it was bypassing the software and going direct to the mic as well.

did you install the software for it and check through the audio presets it has? Sounds like you may need to go into it and disable any effects for just straight audio.

You should also check Zs review on them. Most audiophiles prefer mh751 since they're a takstar pro 82 rebrand

@@kidsrock4102 yeah thats where i first heard of them, after that i wanted to buy them but futher investigation revealed theyre so bass light that i just dont think theyre for me. the hyper x alpha was the takstar 80 and the mh751/2 is the takstar pro 82 (even by looks theyre the same) but i just dont know if theyre for me, i need some degree of bass. and the soundblasterX h6 has decent reviews.. so. im still not entirely sure which to choose, but im leaning towards the soundblasters..

Double check you're getting the right ones? Never had an issue with drivers with this headset be it automatic windows drivers or the package from Creative. Possibly open a support ticket with them.

Does anyone get strange feedback/noise from the mic when using teamspeak or discord? Me and a friend both have this same headset. But we can hear a strange noise/feedback from each other when on ts or discord.

Have you tried messing with the noise reduction setting in the software? I think discord has it own noise reduction option as well, and auto-gain. I never use auto gain in discord anymore, I manually set the slider to a specific level for voice activation. Some stuff to look at.

@@szepi28 I had to stop using the usb connection into the pc, that was the key issues. If you buy yourself a cheap adapter from ebay which will facilitate the connection of your leads going straight into the mic and aux ports, you should be fine.

@@heksogen4788 they were only stereo so directional sound in games like csgo was pretty bad, 90% of the time i couldnt tell where an enemy was. The mic was also pretty bad and after like 2 hours of using them my ears started to hurt and get hot. The sound was good tho ig

@@dankpillow Must have been shitty audio then. Stereo is absolutely fine, 7.1 is complete gimmick. Just bad headphones. Buy top notch headphones with detachable cable and insert mod mic/ vmoda boom pro.

Only tested it with a PC. Check the product page for compatibility with other systems.

try a different usb port away from other wires, especially power cables. You can record yourself as well using the windows voice recorder

If anyone reads this, please help. I'm trying to find a headset with a mic that sounds like the radio in the mw2 campaign. EDIT: I use PS4. Can't use any apps to alter the mic sound.

Used it for years, didn't have either of those issues. Though I dont know what trouble you mean with the mic in discord, you didn't really describe what the issue is.

Yeah thats strange. I would look at reinstalling the software for the headset and updating the driver for it. I usually hear things get garbled like that when sampling rate is having problems.

I bought the H6 and its absolutely fantastic. I had a logitech g231 prodigy and it sucked ass both audio and ESPECIALLY the mic wise, compared to this headset, and this has rgb, equalizer, detechable mic, better comfort....etc... Its so much better =/ very worth the price point.

@@iitopsii9906 I also have this and I have a little bit of a problem. Even though the built quality is good the strap is solid metal and it really hurts my head, i guess a hat or a hoodie is a solution but still.

The software is available online, and I demonstrate how to change the colors in the video. Do not buy if you have a xbox one. You cannot use any of these features. But if you have a PC go for it.

Your comment is misleading for anyone who watches this video and reads this comment. There was no problem experienced, so there was no problem to mention. Yours is the first comment on this video even mentioning any audio issue such as that. Never heard of it outside of this one single comment. I still use this headset as my main headset, ever since this video, without issue. Reach out to Creative/SoundBlaster support regarding your issue.
