extremely late but here i go ive had the h5s for almost 4 years now and i wanna upgrade (one of the earcups falls off constantly and i just want something new) is it worth upgrading to the h6s? or should i look for another pair

I own the Soundblaster H6 and it's a very good headset. It's my opinion that the software/driivers could be improved but the headset sounds great.

The h6 sounds great in wired mode clear audio comfortable and they get pretty loud. Got them when they first came out love them. I tried a few steelseries headsets audio quality sucks uncomfortable headband and very low volume. The h6 has a nice clean look to them nice review

Is it only me but the head band is devied into 3 parts leaving you with an impressiona that you've broke it while extending it. That's visible by the faux leather headband the equal indentation?

Sorry if I missed it in the video. I suppose when plugged to USB port the headphones work in external sound card mode? Does it matter wheter I have integrated soundcard? Does it use it at all?

All of the Amazon reviews mention poor/loose 3.5mm connections and broken mic mute buttons. Have you experienced any of this?

I bought these based on your review and the reviews of other Tech Tubers. The mic quality on this headset is impressive. As you know, there are more expensive headsets with very poor mic quality. Once I got these, I installed the software and tinkered with the settings. Once done, I called my son, a university student away from home, via Discord and he said it sounded like I was standing right next to him. On to gaming, my gamer friends said my voice quality sounded great and like my natural unaltered voice. Thanks for your thorough detailed review that helped me make my decision. I had a Corsair HS60 Pro and the mic quality was awful and iCue doesn't allow for mic adjustments on that model. At MSRP, the H6 is only $10.00 USD more, than the HS60 Pro, so the decision to get these and return the HS60 Pro was a no brainer. I returned the Corsairs as soon as the H6 arrived. I gamed last night for 5 hours with these and even though the headband could use some more padding, they were comfortable and I had no issues. Again, thanks for your detailed review. I believe at this price point, these are the most underrated headsets at this price point IMO.

Interesting comment re: isolation of outside sounds. I use a Creative Fatality headset, and there's no isolation. I really like that - I can hear my wife shouting me for tea :) and I don't get that odd sense like I've got my hands squished over my ears when I talk on game comms. I got some EPOS headphones for Christmas and I really have that sensation of hearing myself talk, and I don't like it. I've gone back to my old Creative set. I was hoping these H6's would NOT isolate.

I didn’t actually listen to this video, but I have to disagree with this being a good product. I’ve had a set (brand new) for less than 48 hours and have experienced some of the most extremely frustrating issues I have ever encountered with headphones. THEY HAVE A DETACHABLE MICRO USB CABLE THAT COMES LOOSE WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR HEAD AT ALL. Literally every minute or two, when I move my head at all whilst using these, the micro USB comes loose and the audio cuts out. Serious design flaw in my opinion. 100% would recommend any other product than these. Furthermore when I expressed my frustrations with the product with the company and asked if I could refund, or credit the item for a product that has a hard wired cable, I got a response saying sorry we can refund you, try a different micro USB cable…. When I was using the micro USB that was provided with the product. 100% do not buy, and take your money to a different company that actually cares about their end user.
