How good is Jett? Carmichael & McGrath have high praise for the 18-year old.

The King and The Goat came into studio for 5 glorious hours for the PulpMX Show's 500th episode.
Full epsiode available: • PULPMX SHOW 500 - Jere...
The King and The GOAT are on the same page that Jett is one of a kind. The only question left is, what will his nickname be?

You’re right about TP. But fame still didn’t get him championships. I think, if you asked him when he was racing 125s, where he’d want to be in the next ten years, he would’ve said championships. Had he not been repeatedly injured, things would’ve turned out different. Circumstances coupled with great vision and HUGE ass balls 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@jcobra09 He probably would have, because that was as far as his world went back then. Once he became aware of the rest of the world, he conquered it.His injuries denied him the championships of the little pond, but opened up the door to a wildly successful life in the vast ocean. I doubt adult Travis is consumed by regret of "what might have been". Given what racers like Carmichael and Villapoto have said about the relentless grind of the sport, Pastrana could very well feel fortunate that he did end up on another path.

Those are truly the voices of wisdom. Great point on the generational contrast, Sexton and Jett being the younger and the rest are mature over 25 year olds. SX is like Survivor in that the game constantly evolves. When I was kid in the 70s, whether it was MX or SX, if you were over 21, you were expected to retire soon. So to Steves question, is it because of maturity at a younger age? If so, Jett's making the right choices to set a new bar for wins and managing his career.

Because those things that you need to figure out to win championships, I believe Craig has figured out further than Jett. I know Christian is older, but he will still be there in a couple years. Also, moving classes sometimes changes who’s the guy. We may see a Hampshire or even Hunter be better on a 450 through a whole season. To every season turn there is a turn. Jett is an unbelievable 250 rider. I’m just not on his donut train. Especially before he even throws a leg over a 450...

You never know who “clicks” when they get on the 450. Mosiman or Hunter may surprise everyone. Craig, Nichols, Cooper, JMart and Fornker should all be in the 450’s with a season or two under their belt by the time Jett gets there. I love to watch Sexton ride but I feel his 250 results are a little inflated. 2019 Forkner was as dominant as any 250 rider for the first half of the season up until he crashed out. To Sextons credit he stayed in reach and claimed it. 2020 I’m not sure the field was all that strong.

Sexton is fun to watch ride, how ever I think he rides way over his head, he’s quick but how many mains is it now that he’s crashed out of all by himself stupid mistakes that he constantly repeats sucks to see but I agree Craig I think will hop on a 450 and be a top 10-5 finishing guy. This next gen of younger kids comin up will make it some fun racing to watch!

@@baileethompson194 from what I've seen, sexton doesn't so much make the same harsh mistakes as he makes these random mistakes that just happen to screw him.

I agree with everything they said about Jett. Chase on the other hand, not so sure. He's really good and fast sometimes but cannot handle the power of the 450.

Chase Sexton will be the next multi champion, then Jett Lawrence will knock Chase off the top. Barring no major injuries.

I would love to see Forkner get his act together and challenge Jett even possibly beat him, its ashamed cause im sure he would easily have the same speed if it was not for all those injuries

Not possible, I think he rides with fear and that’s why he’s not one of those guys that breaks out and wins, there really isn’t any competition for Jett on the East like Craig on the west

a lot of young fast kids in the 250 had to race against some top 450 riders but jett will be alone o, sexton will still be there and maybe ac if he stays on his two wheels but all the top guys will be retired so which 250 riders will be able to fight with him right now, none. He could win a lot of titles but as RC said, he will have to be focused

It'll really be sexton, Jett, Hunter, shimoda, Forkner (if he can stay healthy) Hampshire for sure and even other riders such as thrasher, styles Robertson, mosimon and hammaker all have promise. I really think we are under valuing some of these other riders. Even as the current crop of top 450 guys retire, we have plenty of extremely good youth coming up alongside Jett to keep the field packed.

Fame is the only obstacle that will stop Jett becoming a true winner ,way too many distractions . He's my all-time favorite rider to watch . Unfortunately talent on it's own is not enough to be a Rikki ,MC, a Bubba . I'm surprised Jetts dad is allowing the distractions ,especially for what they have given up to get Jett and Hunter where they are today .

Jett hasnt made the same mistake twice Ricky said lol well I'do believe he has had 3 mistakes in each race just about the same issue but to me it the way a person recover from the mistake an how often it would be repeated or deleted . So mistakes aside I think he is a adrenaline freak an he said he likes the racing realy fast so he brings out a cat like reflexes ,on the seconds spur of moments to keep him from a hurting problems with is the ground an fastly hurt so his brain is compensating for the dangers he omits himself to so he can keep up the fast adrenaline filled dirtbike ride well it's all fun till ur in a wheel chair or a hospice bed he need to look at ken roc an see it all slowest down under sever energy.

Just watch that kid through the woops, he glides over the top of em where the other riders have to time them. He looks like he is in a different gear than the others, but his brother won the other day cause Jett crashed? Got to stay on top of bike to finish. Selfishly i like it when he goes down, cause that kid will send that bitch to catch back up, watching him pass riders where he passes riders is awesome
