Imho, Manectric is one of those Pokémon that looks like it would be a fan-favorite, but isn’t really talked about that often. It’s fun enough though, and definitely deserves more attention

Yeah, but what it does have has made it extremely solid. Volt switch and flamethrower/overheat is pretty great. At least in NatDexUU. Mboi Regieleki is praying for even hidden power.

I remember borrowing my friend's Ruby Edition in 8th grade and he had a blue Electrike sitting in a lonely box in his PC. I didn't know what it was, I asked him what it was and he said something like "I don't know either, but I don't want it to infect my other Pokémon. That's why it has a box for itself".

I hope next week we go back to double videos, Hoenn has so many: Solrock/Lunatone, Volbeat/Illumise, Huntail/Gorebyss. You can even throw in a Zangoose/Seviper one just for the irony.

Tail and Gorebyss would be quite cool, since they're probably the most useful of ojt that trio you mentioned. Zangoose and Seviper would deserve videos by they own, since Zangoose is that meme pick that everyone at least tried out at one point, and like Ambipoom should be relevant by pure element of its uniqueness

They probably realized that Zapdos would be incredibly overpowered with LightningRod and decided not to go forward with that.

@@ActualTrash8 it wouldn't have helped, ledian is just that awful honestly like sure it could maybe deal some damage now, but its speed isn't actually that good and that special defence means nothing when you're weak to most physical attacks, and it also can't even tank fire, electric, and ice that well, which are all super SUPER commong

Free boosting of the primary attack stat (poison or fighting) . Probably the main reason hidden power was removed.

Manetric is one my favorite Electric types. Always found blue electric types cool for some reason. I don't like it's mega, but it's cool that it made it more viable.

Manetric was one of my favorite megas in X/Y, and named mine Jake after the beagle I had growing up (who I had died about a year before the game's release). My best friend named his Houndoom Billy after his dog growing up, and they both fought side by side in the Maison. It felt right, and it made me well up a little; as much of a cunning food thief he was, I do miss that dog.

Mega manectric was a staple on my team, hp ice took out landerous, flamethrower took out steel types volt switch kept momentum going and tbolt destroyed other threats.

I have a specific trauma when I hear about it. When I was playing Emerald for the first time, right after going past Slateport City, I found a blue Electrike (it was the very first Electrike I came to cross). I just MudSlapped it and went on. After that all of them were green.

Emerald was my first gen so Ive got such a soft spot for gen 3. My team was Sceptile, Hariyama, Manectric, Flygon, Bannette and Camerupt. Manectric was a personal fav of mine as kid and my favourite electric type still today. GBA was such a dope era of pokemon

18:14 , no matter how many times seeing and how many years passes. That legendary Pachirisu shall always have a special spot in the history of Hall of Fame. The real top tier % rodent that make Garchomp , TTar and Salamence hear boss music(LITERALLY) upon its entrance and CHOMPED them apart to become WORLD CHAMPION. It's also that match that pulls me back into Pokemon after stopping at Gen 4.

The reduction in power for the moves that regular manectric relied on is really unfortunate ;-; Would have loved to see it do something in the lower tiers still. It not getting other buffs def didnt seem to help either ah well, I had low expectations and was super pleasantly suprised

Manectric is definitely my favorite pokemon. I always wondered what would happen if it got an evolution to replace the fact that megas aren’t around anymore.

Snorlax was also pretty nerfed, it was the king of gen 1 and 2 but now in gen 8 it’s RU. Atleast it’s G Max is pretty good

Ah manectric. It was always a sure ball throw whenever I encountered an electrike. Watching it evolve for the first time exceeded my expectations. I always wondered why Watson didn't have it in his team in R/S.

Yay! I've been waiting for this one since Glalie. I knew it could never compete with the OU Electrics in Gen 3 but Im glad Manectric still has power enough to be dangerous in UU.

I have done some research, and there are only a few pokemon left now until we finish the hoenn pokedex. all we still need are: Lunatone Solrock Delcatty Kecleon Swalot Torkoal Latios Grumpig Seviper Let's all do our best to help FSG finish hoenn. And you may say so if I forgot one.

Also manectric is annoying as hell in PMD because lightning rod blocks discharge. But it's good as an ally to beat raikou and zapdos

Actually, Manectric is a bit better against stall rn in SM UU with the Quagsire ban, so no longer will have to choose between Hidden Power Ice for Gligar or Grass for Quagsire, it can directly go with Ice

Finally Manetric! I love this Pokemon cos of it's design, it can use flamethrower but mainly cos I guess I grew up watching it on TV. Mega Manetric is a badass Pokemon and I appreciate this video. Thankyou Falsewipegaming for this video.

Mono-electric types really needs better moves. (except Eelektross because Eelektross is awesome).

give Luxray and Electivire Close Combat (as well as Bulk Up, Power Whip, and Mach Punch for the latter, whiling Sucker Punch for the former) give Ampharos Energy Ball, Parabolic Charge, and Tail Glow also give Jolteon and Manectric Energy Ball
