Being a greek myself, that moved to the capital and eventually off to the north and i am currently back in the remote area i was born, let me tell you, this video is just a nice propaganda piece that has no connection to reality. First of all 80% of the village i am currently at this point is immigrants and the rest 20% is third age individuals. The village is running on the immigrants and neighbouring villages that either weren't as welcoming or weren't attractive enough for immigrants became abandoned. There are not many greek people willing to waste their lives on the fields with no access to basic quality of life like basic entertainment and socialising. On the contrary the immigrants are willing to work, they have immense need of the older generation to teach them the language and to introduce them to the ways of this land (because the Balkan agriculture is quite unique for even experienced with the earth folks) and they care mostly about their family than anything else. I don't criticise neither, I see both arguments as valid. We still have issues with boats, we always had and we had called countless times for help from central Europe and most of the time we got nothing. We still don't get the necessary support needed to secure all the maritime borders. Processes have changed a bit and more of the asylum applicants get rejected. The problem we face here is clearly not immigration, immigrants decreased and the economy declined further and some farms closed due to lack of workers. Immigrants aren't the issue, but do as you please, vote as you please and blame whatever you feel like. Just don't forget to look into the facts every now and then and not just farage's made up stories.

Strictly speaking, international law is not the problem. Countries are perfectly within their rights to deport illegal immigrants even without any kind of official court hearing. The problem is that a lot these people claim to be refugees from abusive regimes or war zones, which gives them refugee status and protection from deportation by international law. For example young people can't afford their own living, prices of food goes up, rent of an apartment is also expensive.
