Despite being an objectively more horrible life than 1984 or other cyberpunk/dystopian worlds, I still think this is a better life to live because there is a sense of meaning. The difference between the Imperium and the real life dictatorships like the commies is that the Imperium, regardless of all its flaws and atrocities, is trying to maintain the survival of its species. And to think a great figure like the Emperor himself could willingly sacrifice himself to the indescribable torments brought by the golden throne for millennium after millennium, then what sacrifices could the Imperial citizens not afford?

This kind of totally uninformed position is entirely why real-life dictatorships thrive. The Empire is a horrid, tyrannical dictatorship in every measurable way. The first step towards facism is always convincing everyone that it's the only thing that can defend the people from some external threat. This is always false. The Emperor is a cowardly Space Hitler who can't deal with his own fear of things he does not control. He therefore seeks to control everything. Again, entirely out of fear. This is exactly how real life authoritarian governments work as well.

Primaris marines will be the way.. The first ones are as mechanical neophytes due to the not coming up in a chapter.. But the newest Primaris will all have gone thru the trials and tribulations as their predecessor space marines have. Lastly - Space Marines replaced the Thunder Warriors and now they are being replaced

Yeah it's quite telling about the community that anybody considers the Empire/Emperor even remotely redeemable. Like they are so over-the-top evil that they are really no better than the forces of Chaos. From the point of view of any non-human, Chaos is actually better; they might just enslave you. The Empire will definitely kill you and your whole family and claim to be good-guys about it.
