My mom hated all my girlfriends, boyfriends and husbands. Can't stand that I read a book in her presence. She will ask me questions bout stuff that doesn't concern her then complains that I am explaining too thoroughly. Well, you asked! She loves to pick fights...just loves it then tells me I will argue with a fence post. Crazy. I can write a book.

My grandmother-in-law (who raised my spouse), likes collecting my things. A few years ago, my spouse said, "Grandma likes those windchimes." They were a gift from my father. I said, "Oh, really? Me too. My dad got them for me." My spouse goes on to say, "Well, didn't you say you had nowhere to put them?" No, they're clearly hanging here..."Didn't you want them moved?" They're fine where they are right now. "Grandma will take good care of them." No! A few years later, my spouse was on the phone with her and says, "Grandma says thank you again for the windchimes." I was confused and asked how she got them. My spouse said I gave them to her. A normal, healthy person would have never accepted them. In my opinion, they would've told the other person to stop because the owner said no, it's clearly a very dear gift to them, etc.

My mother never hugged me or my brother... For my entire life, she never said I love you... She never had anything nice to say to me . I was criticized constantly. She didn't want anything to do with me.... I didn't measure up to her standards. I know that she was ashamed of me for that. I never thought of her as a narcissist, but now I'm thinking she was.

Consequently, your success and ambitions need to be diminished in order to be "loyal" to your mother's lifetime of disappointments.

You described my mom, older sister, mother in law and my daughter’s mother in law (my daughter is in denial and stopped telling her for years now, she needs to learn for herself)

My ex hyjackle mother in-law, now passed, she had a tight bond with her baby boy. She was very covert and seemed really nice many times. However her opinions, wishes, advice superceded mine everytime. Do what she says and your a friend or fight and your the evil daughter in law. Anywhere from planning meals/parenting/dressing/exploit money/ alter daily plans, weight insults. She never failed to throw in a backhanded compliment (insult) to confirm her power. Anytime I wanted to have a rational discussion about a problem then she had way of making me wrong, or playing the victim and telling her son/or other flying monkeys to the point it created so many problems. I was crazy. After I was done in the marriage I went grey rock on my ex and her. At times I'd feel guilty for not bringing the kids around. She'd call at times but it was only to see why her hyjackle son hadn't called her.

I grew up in a farming community _ I was running into other people's homes when I was 3 years old trying to get away from monster mommy_ the community knew she was abusing me_ it was funny for them to watch our crazy family abuse each other_ who needs relatives_ I'm related to 5000 people in this community_ it's simply child sacrifice.I still breathing because I pretend to die and get up after they leave when I was little _ after they abused me _ I just acted like I died _ then they leave u alone_ just like Wild lions with a full stomach they walk away from dead prey_ it's no fun to play with dead prey.
