Trump’s Order asking Google to ban Huawei is applicable to the USA only, not to free sovereign countries. Google should not follow Trump’s Order in other countries or they will be infringing in their sovereignty. Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia should fine Google with billions if they follow Trump’s Order. These countries must pass resolutions that foreign countries should follow the law of the land. Watch out for briberies. The world should not be held hostage to giant Corporations. This is a good opportunity to create another smart phone platform, one that is immune to hostage taking.

hey it's Raj TV ! Yes! Everything about mobile operating systems basically depends on the whims of only two companies, that's terrible. We need someone to challenge them, to bring in more innovation and give us another choice. My dream scenario would be if OakOS reacted to the whole mess by focusing on security - there is a BlackBerry-shaped hole in the market, nobody really focuses on combining security and innovation anymore, so if Huawei managed to do that then I would switch to them without a second thought.

I agree. We need more activity, less monopoly. Eventually AI will help smaller countries to develop cutting edge technology and the Battle of the Giants will end. It can't happen too soon.

Essentially what US has done is forcing a capable company to accelerate R&D and be self-sufficient without being dependent on other companies. IF Huawei succeeds on all fronts, they’ll be able to produce all the parts you need on any IT gadgets and sell it to other manufacturers at a cheaper price, undercutting all western competitors. Western-based companies will have to either be so much better (and convincingly at that) or try to match Huawei’s pricing in order to stay relevant. Lowering prices = lower profits = reduced job opportunities etc etc. This is just the beginnings of a massive economic war. We’ve only just scratched the surface here.

huawei already said their OS is faster than android OS, not only huawei is winning this battle, other phone companies soon will jump on Huawei Oak OS (international version and HongMeng OS(Chinese version). Thanks to Trump, Android virtually don't have a competition before now they have one.

The problem is they're gonna get killed as all their devices are gonna become bricks. The root of the problem is because all their products are all made from stolen IPs. Now that the doors are shut for theft, it's impossible for thieves to build something innovative.

I am a Samsung Fan, I admit it. BUT last year I choose Mate 20 Pro instead of Note 9 and I was blown away of the level oh Huawei Technologie I switched for S10+ because I still am found of Samsung UI. BUT I am pretty sure that I'll buy Mate 30 Pro over Note 10 or P40 Pro over S11+
