Let's take a journey to 10 years ago when I unknowingly opened the doors to disability advocacy and limb difference representation. At the time, my biggest goal was to learn more about my limb difference and also teach kids how to treat others that are different then them. Leading to the "don't judge a book by it's cover" lesson that didn't pan out the way I had planned. Looking back on this project, it's amazing to see how much I've learned since then and how powerful online spaces can be. After all without them, I never would have learned the things I know today and wouldn't be able to do my part in sharing that knowledge.
If only 18 year old me, could see how things panned out and that we're actively sharing our story online in hopes to not only educate others, but to also show how phenomenal people in the limb different community are!
I had hopes to originally post this video for Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness month, but the timing just didn't feel right and I couldn't find the motivation to edit this video. So thank you for being here and ff you've watched this video or even read this far, thank you for being here. Don't forget, you're worthy and capable of doing amazing things. Don't stop following your dreams✨
