How I (almost) crashed my tank twice this month!

A difficult month in reefing, but managed to avoid a full on crash. Trying a new mic in this video, think I was holding it too close in parts! And apologies for the beeping in the background, I didn't notice it until after and didn't want to re-record...

Definitely hits hard, in a span of two days I just lost one of my O.G. clowns, cardinal, and a pygmy angelfish. Sorry for the loss as well!

I’m going to invest in a petrol generator with a tank of fuel on standby. Life savers.

power cuts are a nitemare with reef tanks i ended up buying a petrol generator as a back up never actually used it yet but there will come aday i’m sure you can get small battery air pumps to help out in emergency just another option👍 …your tank has bounced back well it’s amazing what they will cope with considering we a paranoid about keeping parameters in order 👍

Battery powered air stones are literally life savers mate. And never forget the sump if you have one aswell

Ive got 3 aquaone battery air pumps just incase 👍🏻. 🤞🏼 i never have to use them

Man how do you have 3 wave pumps and the sand stays in place ? Im having big issues with that. Ive taken all pumps off and rely on the outflow

I've got 4 now! It was awful for a week or so and then I guess the sand just finds places to settle. But there's always some being kicked up by the fish, and the water would be clearer without it, but I have learned to live with it 😅
