Hnemy Sui OR they cover their natural features w/ foundation and then literally just draw the SAME THINGS ON with makeup again. (Like blush where they’re naturally rosy, brown eyeshadow where they already had pigment etc.) It just feels wasteful AND it doesn’t help with actual tips on how to cover up blemishes, acne, dark spots and stuff. This is really the only good natural makeup video I’ve seen lmao

i loooove how transparent this is, showing your bareskin without filters, it take a great amount of confidence to be able to record a video post it online for thousands to view. our society has made it a norm that girls need to have perfect silky smooth skin, welp, we're human from all walk of life and not everybody can look like a model or even afford a routine to maintain their appearances. yet there's this atrocious standard that beauty gurus need to be perfect canvases, when really, we have crazy hormones, we get stressed out because life 🤷🏻♀️ and genetics also come into play. i was tired of comparing myself to all these people online and people around me, when in actual fact we're all afraid of being transparent because it leaves us "vulnerable" ( actually it takes real confidence, so it's actually really a strength). I got so sick and tired of makeup tutorials not really being tutorials, but more about drama/spilling tea/dragging others. We're here to learn how to beat our face not beat other youtubers up! I think viewers really would rather no drama 🤦🏻♀️ that said, i've been watching your videos so far and it really makes me feel happy to see someone genuine and real on this platform because we all know how toxic the internet can be. 💕 by the way you're so damn GORGEOUS

I love watching Alex because on top of her personality, she also has dark circles (like me, yay) and blemishes (like me, yay) so her make up is a lot more realistic for me to achieve over someone with perfect perfect skin and no dark circles and she gives me hope ugh! EDIT: I reached the end of the video and oh my god this is the make up look ive been striving for. And yes, your eyebrows DO look baller.

Same here. The first makeup I bought as a kid was undereye concealer. I have trouble using much makeup though because I'm a pale olive with gobs of peach fuzz all over my face so most makeup looks like peach fuzz mascara.

You use makeup very sparingly while still maximizing the coverage. You never look cakey which is what a lot of makeup youtubers end up doing. I love it!

About dry under eye it could be micellar water used to remove makeup to solve it just use oil based cleanser

YES!!! This is exactly how I do my makeup: as minimalistic as possible. I don't want anyone to be able to see my makeup, especially not me (except for when it comes to mascara, in which case I want my lashes to touch my brows.) I wish more people contoured like this because somehow contour went from being a sculpting technique to being all about very bold, dark stripes of color all over the face. I've also noticed that most people seem to be "contouring" with very warm shades lately and I have no idea why, but it kills me. SHADOWS AREN'T WARM. Thank you for showing a way of doing makeup that I feel like so many people have lost sight of or decided isn't enough.

I was going to say the exact same thing & according to Dr. Rhee , you can use your kitchen measuring spoons to ration just how much sunscreen lotion to use. “I'd recommend about 1 teaspoon of sunscreen for your whole face and neck to ensure coverage. Don’t forget to reapply every 2 hours . Try a powder SPF or a cushion SPF over makeup.

Yes! Finally someone that concentrates the foundation on the outer perimeter of the face and blending inwards. I'm sick of always hearing how the coverage should start at the centre and then blended outwards. I dont need coverage in the centre of my face, I hardly apply anything on my nose. My cheeks however need all the help I can get. Also your brows are absolutely perfect, I'm jealous!

One of the few KZfaqrs doing actual tutorials! Love your style! For whatever reason, I find doing my makeup takes so much longer when I really want to achieve that beautiful "natural" look, but hot damn I love how it looks. Very similar method to this video. I've really been enjoying the Neutrogena skin tint for foundation and the Revolution Conceal and Fix concealer for tiny bits of spot concealing, and I find it to be really hydrating on the undereye without needing too much! Whenever I wear this combo and actually take my time, I'm like, fuck that's my actual face? Anyway, love your videos!

I love how you’re straightforward at the beginning of your videos and how you don’t use any filter to smooth your skin. You keep it real and It’s somehow comforting for the viewer as the beauty community sometimes makes u feel like skin with make up shouldn’t have any texture. Keep it going cause i enjoy your channel so much and I’m also learning a lot!

I stopped watching beauty videos so long ago bc so many YT MUA’s seem so overly fake trying to be cute and loud as hell and pretending the makeup gave them lip injections and Botox. Not to mention the crazy high pitched voice for no reason. I just feel like it’s a whole act. Decided to turn this on and loved you immediately. You can immediately tell you’re super down to earth. Not to mention, SO good at actually explaining and showing what you’re doing.

I think you are basically 💯% my favorite makeup KZfaqr now. I actually don’t ever even wear the colorful glam makeup you’re so good at - but I really, really connect with your personality and attitude, it’s super similar to my own! It’s so DIFFERENT to watch a woman applying super glam makeup *really* professionally... who talks and acts way more practical, sensible, intelligent, even tomboyish. I. ADORE IT. Also looove the haircut, I have a pixie too and I am never going back to long hair. And I’ve been thinking of dying it silver, and seeing your dye job has INSPIRED ME. 🤩😍
