Speedwork -- for training your threshold or building your VO2max, depends on what your repeats are like Progression runs -- there are a few kinds of progression runs. It is a type of speed work that involves beginning a run at a comfortable, slow pace and ending the run at a faster pace. Long runs -- for building mileage and building your aerobic base.
