I Agree so much on the pass papers point you made there. I had a personal experience where I studied little to nothing for a Theology exam and I practiced a few past exams, and I got 93% for it as there was a 1/3 of the section that was identical so I got full free marks.

I love this video mate! I recently started college and was a bit nervous as I always hear horror stories about how hard it is and how it can be impossible to study and get good grades. It's the exact opposite for me! Keeping efficiency at the top of my list is key and as you mentioned, you must prioritize your subjects based on necessity! Are you lacking in chemistry and you have a big exam coming up? Spend a little more time each day reading your chemistry notes while remaining calm goes a long way. :)

Great video! Keep up the good work. I have a question on note-taking and was wondering if you'd be able to answer them. How do you approach note-taking for application based subjects such as physics and mathematics where the content isn't as overwhelming as in chemistry or eco, but your understanding has to be a lot more thorough. Do you just include a handful of examples after every formula/concept or something? Thanks in advance
@ShaneHuang88
@ShaneHuang88 3 жыл бұрын
Good question! For application based subjects, I feel its a lot more about understanding rather than memorisation (which is why I prefer them!). This means what I do is first, make sure to understand whats going on and especially why - so it all makes sense logically in your head (important - otherwise it'll be hard to understand and do application questions). Then you can apply what you learned to questions/ examples which further strengthen your understanding. As such, I generally dont make notes for these application subjects like Maths. Physics is somewhere in between though. Hope it helped! :)

welp i'm heading back to uni for semester 2 tomorrow and my results from sem 1 were okay (except for maths which i barely passed by just 1 mark XD). this video is a good study method refresher for me because i would've got better marks if i watched the online lectures (which i absolutely loathe) so from tomorrow, i shall incorporate it into my smarter study regime. it won't be easy because of coof coof, but i guess it's just do or fail XD.

Hey, I'm not sure if anyone else might see this. But I actually have a question. I'm someone who gets average to a bit above average grades. But here's the thing, Math is my weakest subject, and I really would like some advice with using these tips in Math, since Math is a more problem-based, and step-based subject, I would like to know your opinions/tips on how to get better or get a good grade in Math, by using these strategies or some that you've found helped you in the process of getting a good grade in Math.

I don't really like school, i only study last minute like 1 hour before exam and still get acceptable grades like B and As. I don't like the way school is structured around education and how they educate it to me. If I study then I prefer to self study. But im more interested in Electrical Engineering more than School right now 💀
