For me Onix is the most saddest pokemon ever. In the anime Onix is super strong and tanky and could take on anything evne a gyarados but in the game its kinda a joke. it still strong but only having 40 hp is just wrong to me. Onix to me is badass and should be as good as Steelix. And I love Steelix.

@@cosmic5789 Well At least Gyarados can take more hits before going down, and if its normal and bug or fly move on Onix then onix can handle few hits but doesnt take much to take Onix down a butterfree can just use Confusion. Rocks that are suppose to be better against Bugs. Just a bit sad. They thought the huge defense on Onix would be enough to tank his 40 hp but you cant just do that u need to balance HP and ur Defense. Also Onix has no good special defense so get 1 or 2 hit by a special move is just sad. Even Ember or Flamethrower is enough to take Onix down, no problem at all.

tbf some solo challenges are impossible. Silphspecter tried to beat platinum with only a kricketoot, and even at level 100 it cant beat barry's infernape, let alone the fire only elite 4.

After watching you torture yourself like this I have a feeling you'd absolutely love the ironmon challenges (they're not romhacks but a set of rules, the kaizo one is brutal, only 1 pokemon, permadeath, pokemon, stats, moves, and abilities randomised, boss trainers and the rival all have higher levels, a true nightmare)
