Can you provide a part list for the small springs and couplings? Also - what would you estimate the total cost is?

I don’t have a parts list unfortunately but I would estimate the cost when I made it was around $50. Not sure what that would be now. The spring I went to the hardware store and just found one I thought would work good for the application. The couplers you can buy them here. amzn.to/3gsRVm6

Why don't you run the copper guard on your welder?

I am super new to welding so what I found in researching Flux Core welders is that guard is not needed. From what I have found that is only used for mig welders that use gas. What it does is protects the gas as it comes out so if you are welding in conditions that might blow the gas away from the head of the tip will keep a bubble of gas in that area to keep the welds more consistent. Since Flux Core doesn’t use gas it uses flux with in the wire there is no need to have it on there. It wouldn’t hurt to have it on there but some people say it is easier when learning to weld to take it off so you can see more where your wire feed is at.

Sorry Don I don’t make them to sell. It just takes way to long to make for it to be worth my time to make one. The price I would have to charge for my time would be much higher than the cost of brands that are already out there. It was more just a fun project to do for my Dad.

@@RunBikeMike thank you for getting back to me, I do not have the work space to build my own. My dad filled a 2 car garage with toy monuments, toy cars and toy trucks packed in boxes where the cars should be and the rafters are full as well. I hope your dad does not leave so much stuff to clear out. My dad collected and never put on display many toys, making my retirement slightly different in an interesting way than I planed.
