Welcome to the first video installment of “Project North Western!” In this series, I will be showcasing the Thomas & Friends characters I have built in HO/OO scale! Of course we’ll be starting off with the man himself, Thomas The Tank Engine!

I love how the sounds are a reference to a point of the show's history. Like example. Thomas's phrases are a reference to the early to late cgi seasons!

Me when I have my bros over and we get bored, so I just whip out TrainStorms custom Thomas (dont ask how i got it) and we send full throttle around my loop track while listening to F12-15: 🕺🕺 🤸‍♂ 🦽🏌‍♀

Would you do Decoder installations like this for others or at least program the sound files? I have been looking to do this level of sound for my Thomas model for a while and I'm always looking for tips. I have heard from someone that you could use phone recordings and then upload those by using a lok programmer, but I was unsure on how that worked. Very nice job!

How much did you end up having to modify the Jamos file to fit the Bachmann Chassie?

Quite a bit and as great as Jamos’ files are, they’re not really made for OO. I’d recommend using @the_lbsc_thomas’ design.

Just some advice for future projects if you really want to perfect sounds. Steam locomotives normally have 4 chuffs per wheel revolution

I've seen The Polar Express engine you did I'm planning to get a replica of The Commodore Vanderbilt Stream liner engine that I want to get my hands on but as it's in a model shop in America you live in I had to sell mulch bags to make money and pay the expensive price. Ohh ok then . I work with S gauge so I use the diapet models with modifications to look like the cgi series and use them with string to make them move I have thomas and getting Percy and James and Gordon soon along with Bertie Annie clarabel and hiro
