Super inspirational stuff, Gaz. Maybe you mentioned this in your other gardening videos, but I was wondering whether you were able to grow all your vegetables veganically i.e. without any animal-based fertilisers etc. or did you have to make some exceptions/compromises along the way?

I am 64 years young and have dedicated this year as ‘my year of being healthy’. This video has inspired me. I am moving to a city to be closer to my family (I hate the city I am in now); I am going more plant based; I can’t grow a garden where I am moving but will find a local farmers market and grow my own herbs; I will meditate more; and I will find a new book club near my new home to socialize. This is all do able and realistic. Thanks for getting me on track.

Gaz, you inspire me so much. I didn't even know how to cook until 2020. Only ate microwavable meals and cold sandwiches. Watching your videos throughout the pandemic gave me a passion for cooking and discovering new recipes. You convinced me to start learning. Now, I have tried making almost all of the recipes in your cookbooks and I consider myself to be a fairly good cook at this point! I can finally treat my friends and family with fresh delicious food when they visit and whip up something from whatever I have at home. Now, just need to get on that mental health/fitness journey as well... Thank you for all you do, man.

I don't usually comment on videos but I really want to let you know, I cried watching this video. This is exactly what I want in life and you really used the right words to explain this. 26th of January is my birthday and soon after I'l move out of home. I'll start a garden like you do. You planted a seed when I start becoming vegan and I have been following your recipes on youtube ever since. As a student in culinary school I have inspired many classmates and some teachers into vegan recipes and recommended your channel to them. and some of my classmates and family members will join me with the vegan February challenge. Since I'm vegan for the animals I have been learning about sustainability too and I'm starting some projects in it and I am starting with a vegan restaurant too. Thank you Gaz, for get me on this vegan journey. You are a big inspiration to me ❤🍀

This video makes me tear up. Gardening has always been a normal part of my life but when COVID hit, I started to work on an organic vegetable farm in my hometown and it made me fall in love. Never had I ever felt such passion about anything before. I was excited to wake up in the morning, to take care of all the different plants, to dig up potatoes and plant leeks. Working on the field with my hands and feet on the ground, sweating in the summer sun 10 hours a day while moving my body was some of the most freeing and the most spiritual experience I had ever made. Currently I’m going back in school (agriculture profile - you guessed it) and just as I’m watching this video, I’m out of the shower after working in my own garden the whole day. This just gives me more than happiness - the fact that you can understand and feel the excitement about growing your own plants gives me joy. Much much love from Germany!

In early 2021, I moved from Toronto to St.lucia and this move has been amazing for my mental health. Being able to pick herbs from the garden to the tea or to season my food is an amazing feeling. Picking up fresh fruits from the tree is such a blessing. If you are able to move to the country or an island....DO IT. City life is overrated.

The gardening completely resonates with us. In 2020 we decided to get stuck into ours and we couldn't stay out of there, it was so enjoyable and meditative. We grew so much good food and were so grateful for the magic of how one seed could give us an abundance of food. Great video 💚

When I started studying I had to move from living on the organic farm to living in a concrete jungle of our capital city. Now I have a job here in the city and I'm temporarily stuck here, but I miss the countryside sooo much. I think that living on the countryside is sooo beautiful and growing your own food very sustainable for the planet. 🌈My dream is to one day live in a small cottage on the beautiful piece of land.🌈 Good job Gaz for making such a bold move! Love the outdoor cooking, especially the pan setting on fire + Doug's kitchen ! Seeing Wales in salt of the earth & now at your home is beautiful, what a fab country it is. This was incredibly inspiring to me. I can’t wait to start a garden this summer. I’ve been working on my fitness journey for the past month or so and I immediately see a benefit in my mood and outlook on the day. My boyfriend and I are saving for a little cottage and I cannot wait until I can have a flourishing garden. We both just had our 2 year anniversary of going vegan and we couldn’t feel happier. Another thing that has brought me so much joy is dedicating more time into my art and creativity. Painting, filming, and editing transport me out of the hustle of life and allow me to slow down. Thank you and your team for creating this wonderful content 🤍 My favorite video was the one you did with your friends mom cooking outdoors, I smiled the whole time.
