Another very informative video,I never knew you could take the cassette apart like that.Me and Michele have been motorhomers for 2 years now and live on the Wirral.We have often wondered if you have ever been to wirral country park site at thurstaston.It is a lovely site with plenty of dog walks around the country park and steps down onto the lovely beach and best of all a beautiful cafe with some of the best sandwiches,coffee and of course delicious cakes and very very dog friendly.Keep up the good work and hope to meet you Jenny and pops some time on a campsite.

Very useful video showing how to access the different seals and lubricate them. I cleaned our cassette and noticed you forgot mention one seal....the filler cap has a sealing gasket :-)

Great Video Bob! How well does the blue Thetford Cassette Cleaner solution remove the hard scale buildup on the inside of the Cassette? If the cleaning solution doesn't work well at removing the scale have you found any other product that works well?

Bob, the flap in the mechanism part of my Thetford “Jobbie-wheeker” is missing! It surely can’t of flushed out of the cassette? Have you ever experienced this? The flap that closes the cassette is missing. There is a moon shaped bit in the bottom of the tank. I’m about to clean it before opening up the mechanism circle. Thanks for the tip with the bit of wood. If it is not repairable, I’m hoping that Thetford will do a replacement mechanism part.

Thanks for the video Bob. I did follow up with the Beckwiths showing how to use the loo and clean the flush tank. You said your Swift draws flush water from the on board fresh tank. Without asking a silly question...how do you get the pink flush liquid with the flush water? Is it some sort of premix system?

Good morning Bob just found your channel and subscribed. I’m recently retired. Had caravans in the past but always fancied a motor home. I have a few concerns though ie Restrictions once on site if you want to go out for a short trip. Parking during high season if you visit small towns etc I realise you tow a small car but I don’t think that option would work for me. Shall I go back to a caravan? The other option I’m considering is a VW California but can I cope with the restricted living space. There’s only me, my partner and a large dog! Decisions decisions pros and cons for all. Anyway I’m looking forward to viewing your recent videos and will follow you in your future travels.Thanks Charles

Great cassette video but what is the piece on the top of the cassette between the round bit that comes out and the handle .it’s a small oval opening with a cover that comes off . Always wondered why it’s there .

You could have taken the cassette for a walk with Poppy to help agitate the contents. 😊
