Wire brush in a 4-1/2" angle grinder works amazing for tools caked up with hard darbo. Doesn't make them black and rusty like the acid too.

Yo Charlie.... 4-5" angle grinder with stone blade works really well on the shovel. On the trowels use a rough sandy brick with some sand or a concrete block, if not too bult up with muck then a wire brush may be suffice. With the levels absolutely the brick acid as no rust and gets into the cracks. Love your vids bro, keep up the good work and keep up the spirit of play as this is how it should be at work! Keep the banter alive 🤪👏💪✌👊💥👍

You can get dronco 4 inch rust removal blades for your grinder. That takes rust, mortar, concrete and abrasions of trowels and shovels leaving them super shiny.

Charlie I've used an empty 25ltr drum and cut in half length ways so end up with basin and ideal for putting in a shovel and trowels at same time and can lie them flat Leave overnight will only require a brush and wash off .

Come on Charlie, you have been doing this long enough now, get a little extendable tripod with phone clip.

i would recommend that you boiled linseed oil your wooden handle on your trowel, helps it last alot longer

A steel wire cone attachment on an angle 115mm grinder is the best lb for lb. Silverline one off amazon was £3 when i bought it with the tightly wound steel wires. Silverline 868901 is the product code. £5.50 for the 65mm version which i use on trowels and shovels. Hope that helps. Thumbs up.

Takes a few seconds to clean your trowel or shovel with a stiff brush & a rag before the gobbo sets, no excuse for letting them get in that state. Ever.

Hi Charlie game changing tip for us brickie fresh pineapple rubbed on cement stained blue bricks and reds no matter how old the stain removes it instantly and for stubborn stains a light rub with sandpaper 👍👍

Charlie have you tried the Belle Clean spray? It works well on standard concrete and cement mortar. SBR mortar and its not so keen to work!

What do you do with the waste acid? Boiled linseed for tool handles. P.S. any chance of video on how to keep mixer clean. I used to keep a pot of flints for that, and strain them out for reuse on emptying. And agree with below get a pointy ended shovel with round corners for shovelling hard stuff - got an American one of those as we don't seem to have.

Wd40 for trowel. Keep a rag soaked in it wee hand towel. In bucket or box wipe off end of day keeps trowel slick.

@@lmilne4859 Just dumped my Estwing, always hated it. I had a beautiful wooden handled Vaughan Bon, hard to find the made in USA now. It was stolen so tried the Estwing. Finally found the Vaughan Bon on Amazon USA and imported it. Just the best in my opinion. Not seen a Hultafors brick hammer but everything they make is top notch. They do a lovely insulation knife, about £12. really good.
