Thanks for this Peter! My biggest issue when shooting in SLOG is judging white balance. I use the gamma assist feature to help but I would be keenly interested in seeing how you go about selecting white balance, ESPECIALLY indoors. Thanks Peter!

Great work Peter! The part where you placed the mask on the sky and used the color wheels to change color without affecting the whole shot, can I do that with the native color grading tools on Final Cut Pro?

Hi Peter ..Thanks for your advise ..I need advise from your side that when i keep betweeen 100 and 0 and then when i add Lut into that then every thing gets changed and some times due to the lut applied it doesnot allow me to stretch or make it before zero ..so in that case do i need to add one more color wheel on top of that and bring it between 100 and zero ..not sure about the principles ..Please advise ..

What color profile should I use on my macbook pro m1 if I use fcpx for color correction? The one that comes by default or do I have to change it to srgb or some other?

Have you experiment using a simple conversion lut to bring back contrast and saturation and then doing the grading ? If yes, why did you decide to not stick to conversion lut :) Thank you for the video Peter 🙏🏻

Can we please stop comparing Log vs final grade! Log is just a profile with a lot of information for post production, it will never be used as a final delivery. 709 vs final grade will be way more informative

With great power comes great responsibility. If you talk about "normalizing" the image, you have to talk about rec709 and/or sRGB. And talk about Color Space Transform, too. You are just using the S-log footage and grade in slog. With no color management at all. In short: What you are teaching here is wrong on many levels. If no one taught you how to color grade, DON´t teach about color grading. Maybe you watched some videos how others are "color grading". Maybe the image looks "ok" at the end. But it is like writing a good song on a Guitar without even knowing the rules. You have to know the rules before breaking them. You are "breaking" EVERY single color grading rule in this video, but without knowing what the rules are.
