Great video - I can't believe I've never thought of just using the actual computer monitor on my desk as a camera monitor for some of my talking head videos. It seems so obvious now. Also nice to see I'm not the only one that has to mess with framing and odd things showing up in the background. I enjoyed the behind the scenes - thank you!

Great choice on using a cage on the BMPCC OG. Having torn down and repaired mine I can tell those things are extremely fragile, not just for the inputs but for the whole internal structure - it's best to keep those screw posts as stress free as possible (Don't overtighten, it will break the structure and makes the posts loose) and your hands gripping the cage. I kinda wish I could go for a micro instead.

I would add a rim light behind your left side out of the frame, on a tripod and aimed at the lantern. It would add structure and depth to your head and shoulders. Lighting from the front only can look a bit flat.

I think in photography that lighting setup is called "beauty lighting" but instead of a tube light you're bouncing light from a flash off of a reflector below the model. You still mainly light with the key light but the bounce fills in all the shadows. At least that's what I recall. Looking good!

@cameraconspiracies Kasey, good work. Suggestion, use a cheap mic arm (fold up scissor looking ones) clip the arm and mic to the brown thing on the wall next to the curtains. Now the mic is always out of the way and also yours hands won't hit it. 🎤🎤🎤🎤👐👐👐👐👍👍👍 BTW Remeber, your mom loves you. A fair amount ppl don't get/have that. Your feeling of morning will dim with time but it will always remain. It's the reminder of your connection. 😎❤️
