Thank you for sharing. I initially thought that all the pictures in the ad were taken with a fixed car, and then converted to a driving state through post-retouching. It turns out that this can also be taken!

That’s a 100K + gig right there. BOOM. Pro’s only need apply. Great job. The tools alone. Shoot at dusk & dawn, you’ll be stunned at what the light will do for the car. Never use black cars. Metallic grey or Red - always.

Thanks mate, little bits and pieces. I’ve got so much BTS captured on my phone over the years so slowly piecing them together into digestible videos !

Hi Easton, thank you for sharing your experiences. Does it often occurs that post processing is left to another party? Do you choose the digital workstation and set up for the client to review the production? Take care

It varies enormously from job to job, some clients have their own retoucher they want to use, some photographers want to use their retoucher of choice, or retouch it themselves. I find with the larger, more complex jobs (especially when CGI is involved) more of the work is likely to be outsourced to specialist contractors. I had a dedicated digital technician bring his workstation and operate Capture One. All I did that day was push the button :)

How do u focus on hasselblad in such motion shoots?

We positioned the car first and locked down focus. It was up to the precision driver to steer the car in the exact right spot and for me to fire the shutter at the same time.

Hi mate, if you look up Easton Chang PROEDU there is a large tutorial they sell which I was the instructor for. We cover a lot of retouching cars in it, but no CGI.
