I installed Stedi Carbon Headlights in my Troopcarrier and filmed it for others to use as a reference if it helps. I'm not an auto electrician but it all works great and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to Simon Dangerfield from CMS for the lights and advice, they arrived from Melbourne a couple of days after I bought them. #headlights,#troopcarrier,#troopy

Hi there. I just finished installing Stedi LED lights on my 78-Series Troopy and used your video as a guide, so thanks. Just letting you know that the tab on the Canbus was still too short for a normal hexagonal bolt or screw. I ended up using stainless hex socket head cap screws, which have a narrower, rounded head. They worked fine. I've subscribed.

@@downunderprojects9322 Sorry, me again. I just tried those lights out for the first time heading up to the shops and back. Bloody hell, they're bright. Might need to do some proper adjusting. Just wondering if anyone's ever hassled you about them? Motorists, pedestrians, or cops?

I'm very happy with them. I hardly ever use my spotties now and I haven't had any oncoming traffic flash me to say they're too bright. I like the "halo??" parking lights too for when its foggy or rainy just to let incoming traffic see me.

Hey Mate, Did you mount a set of ARB Deluxe lights in to your bull bar as well? If so, how did the fitment go? Cheers!

Hi Brandon, All the other lights were already installed when I bought it. The big spotties are just Kings and I'm not sure what brand the small leds are. Sorry I couldn't help more?

Regarding the way a Land Cruiser headlights are wired. They have whats called a Hot Common. This is unusual to most other vehicles and needs to be discussed as it affects the relay conffigeration etc.

Isn't that why we need the canbus? When you say a hot common , is that what we would call negatively switched?

Hi there mate, I've bought myself a set for my 75 series. Why do I only need one of the Canbus's, does the other side work without one?

Pretty sure the canbus just helps the LED's work better on the 12v system. Some sort of electrical magic that I dont really understand

Put a set on a GQ and you need to lift them a lot to get decent forward illumination causing a big black spot in front of the car. I found the light coverage and output worse than the old EBay cheapest but hopefully they won't leak.

Interesting. I'm loving mine and have them set pretty low. I haven't ever had anyone flash me so they must be set ok. I put a Bushranger light bar (22 inch) in place of the ugly old Kings spotties and that seems to have reduced any really bad glare reflecting back off road signs etc because it's pointing straight down the road. The added bonus is extra air flow into the grill. All up I couldn't be happier and they're way better than the old toyota originals.

@@downunderprojects9322 yeah they need to be set low but that means they don't throw far enough. I live on windy dirt roads and they just don't work for me....eg losing vision on tight turns. Light output is also dissapointing for the price and they fog up. I'm hoping for a refund....back to the EBay cheapies...

Would have rather a section of them working on the road vs your feet at the beach.

Ha ha yeah good point. I should make one called "Look how my lights shine." Rather than "How I installed.... I've watched a few videos on "How bright..." different lights are but I don't think a camera can do them justice. I think the only way to make an educated decision is to see them "in the flesh" Thanks for watching. Dave.
