How I Keep My Birds Feathers SO Shiny And Healthy!

Many of you asked me what I do that my birds have such beautiful shiny and vibrant coloured feathers. Here is my explanation and tips so you guys can also improve your parrots feather quality. Diet, sunshine, clean environment and air, etc all contribute to the results. Just like humans our internal health reflects on our physical appearance.

@@mimisbirdhouse it's you i should be thanking for all your support you give me by providing infos 🥰 Umm...... what country do you live, if you can't tell then it's okay too, instead can you tell what time is it at your country, here in my country it's 6 : 15 a.m. So that i can have a idea that you will be awake or not by the time i ask something 😅

I like to ask few question about their feathers health - 1. What does it mean overhandling them, you mention when showing the black patches feathers 2 . Do they get extra tired and sleepy when they molt their flying feathers (cuz, mine are more sleepy for past 2 or 3 days, after they start molting their big feathers ) 3 . When i got my babies they were just 1month old and they already have some feathers not fully feathered but they were not in very good condition, after i start feeding them their new feathers started to look shiny and bright but they already had flight feathers, i can tell them apart easily. They have these missing type of feathers and not so bright feathers. As now they are molting their all new feathers are coming looks shiny and bright, so i am feeding them healthy, right? And about their current feeding - they eat about 30g or more chop ( including flex and chia seeds ) in morning, then they eat pellets for lunch and in evening they eat their leftover pellets and their fav veggie, fruits and some treats. I also like to leave their chop full day but it will get spoiled due to the warm weather, here in our country 🫥 And they didn't like small zupreem pellets so i am giving them the same size and Rio is getting the hang of it, he is getting better at breaking the pellets but, Peach is not showing that much interest she just snatch pellets from Rio's mouth 😮‍💨. How should i make her eat them? The things you mention i do all of them because i watched your previous videos well and follow them but, except of bathing together cuz i bath at 6 a.m. and they wake up at 7 a.m. so i can't bath with them but i make sure they bath regularly 2 or 3 times atleast a week. 1. overhandling them means holding them so much that our hand grease causes a color change. Nothing serious just to distinguish from an actual feather problem ☺️ 2. Yes they do! Molting can be uncomfortable and it makes them tired 😪 helps to give a hard boiled egg once a week! 3. When they didnt start in great condition it takes a few molts to get a full new feather coat. It took luza a good 2 years to finally have all her feathers healthy! And yes you are feeding them great 🥰 thats okay if you cant leave the chop out! The way you divided their meals is still fantastic! And for the pellets thats great that they are eating regardless, as for peach just keep trying the methods. It can take time for some birds ☺️ its okay if you dont bath together. My main bathing daily with them is cause mango’s nose gets stuffy easily so she needs it to clear her airway but 2-3x a week is still good! @@mimisbirdhouse i notice today that Peach's feather are not good as compare to Rio's feather. She eat less than Rio 😮‍💨so that maybe the case, so how should i give her more protein for more good feathers. Will giving them egg per week make the difference 🤔 and can i give them egg york too? And i don't know that how much portion should be given 🥲

That makes me so happy! You can start by bringing your finger slowly to their feet and just lightly push it enough so they feel it and say step up. See if they react by getting on or not EDIT: oh wait, if they are already on your hand then spend lots of time with them, talk softly to them, and see how close you can bring them to you before they react so you can measure the comfort distance ☺️
