Nicole I am right there with you on the burnout. I was a power seller on eBay and doing very well until June 17th 2020 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I dropped off of eBay and life and am just now getting back into it after all the treatments, surgeries, Covid, etc. finally I have the energy and motivation to get back in the game. This time with cross listing and delving into clothes instead of just vintage goods and mid century modern. You were (and still are!) one of my biggest motivators! Thank you for putting it all out there and giving of yourself and knowledge 🙏💕

What you said is completely true about having your costs as low as you can get it. Plus you have helped me understand a little better about listing things consistently and my sales have rose a lot. I had all time biggest sales last month and these first couple of days this month I’ve already made half of last month. I hope you get better soon and I love seeing your videos. Also thank you so much for continuing to share my closet. I’m young and I’m dealing with a civil case currently which might not go in my favor but if I keep doing what I’m doing with this business it won’t take long for things to get resolved and I can get my life back to before all of the mess I’m in. Anyway I hope you are feeling better and hopefully burnout won’t happen to you again.

Thank you! This was actually super helpful and gave me a lot of encouragement as well as a lot to think about. I just started listing because I would like to get into this as a business, but I’m really lost on all the ins and outs of what to do and what actions to take. I am disabled, so it took me a long time to settle on a job prospect that I thought I could live off of, but also be easy enough that I could navigate it with my disability. The way you explained things and even brought out an accountability group gave me a lot of excitement and gave me an idea of what I can do to keep myself steady once I get things rolling better. So thank you again for putting out this information! Also, I am so sorry to hear you were having a hard time with burnout, I really hope you’re doing much better now! 💜💜💜💜

I started reselling a few years ago, No way on your level but I had to listen to my body. I would have HUGE migraines and realized I was pushing myself to work 7 days a week. I would be so burnt out with my business. I wasn't giving me a break, a proper break. I have to actually walk away from reselling twice a week. I know I need the money but, I need sanity as well. I take tuesday and Wednesdays off. I don't do ANYTHING business related at all. Helps tremendously with burnout because I know I have those days to myself where I am not thinking about it. I hope all is okay with you and sending you love and light to get through this hard time. Thanks for your continued helpful content!

I think we all experience burn out at some point. I am a handmade/upcycler and mainly sell at craft shows and on Etsy to supplement retirement. Every year after my busy season, Fall, I give myself permission to use January as a month to reflect, relax, and re-energize. I also take one day a week Jan-July to plan some fun activity with my husband. It can be as simple as a drive in the country but just a break. It works for me. I have a best friend who does shows with me. We hold each other accountable and that helps keep me on track. It took me years and a bout with breast cancer to put some balance in my life. You hang in there my dear. Thanks for doing these videos and giving so much back to us as a community.

Hi Nicole! Thank you for your transparency and your advice! I can tell from just watching the video that you are a very down to earth woman! You're doing fabulous! My suggestion for burnout would be taking a nice vacation, either with your family or yourself. But, if you're feeling like you're not giving yourself enough attention and care it'd be good to go enjoy some solo time. A spa, mini or big vacation would help you relax and start fresh :))) Good Luck Nicole!!

Thanks so much for this awesome video, Nicole, your 5 tips are super helpful and i really appreciate you being so honest about burnout. I was really getting burnt out too and I realized that I had to find a way to take at least one day off per week. So i got on a block schedule, dropped my daily listing number to a measly 4 per day, and started to created drafts so that i could easily send them out over my day off and sourcing days. I also make KZfaq videos so i decided to cut back to just one per week while i work on getting new processes and systems into place...this was hard because i really enjoy interacting with viewers and i felt like i was letting people down (in reality, this is probably just in my head!). I'm so amazed that your able to make so much money and you don't have any employees, it must be your years of experience, research, and having a great eye!! I'm new to reselling so I'm trying to set very small, easy goals! I'm a single mom who definitely needs the money but burn out is a real problem so i'm trying to take it easier on myself and hopefully more sales will come in the future! Thanks again for pouring yourself into your work and videos, i really appreciate you! Please take good care!! 🥰 ❤️
