Cracking video. I've just finished mine today. I based alot of it on your video and a couple of other videos I've seen. I'm tempted to upload a video myself. Thanks again 👍

So use a blow torch and heat the gas valve to 200 degrees... what could possibly go wrong.. glad you didn't do that. Good job as always 👏

That’s what i thought, although he is a very safe man so it must work? Thanks guys!

I've done this before, but I might use boiling water over the top to heat it up to remove it, a bit safer than a torch. But that being said I know a guy who was working in Northern Alberta in the winter and he was saying that he used to use a big blow torch to heat up the frozen propane bottles, kinda sketchy but they can take quite a bit of heat

Nice one, and yes I have suffered the massive headache from welding galvanised steel before. Made one of these a lot of years ago using the smaller bottle. 👍😊

That's brilliant. I've seen it in action on your Instagram stories and looks like it works really well. I've also had to go through the same safety routine when I've had to repair car fuel tanks, filling them with water first etc. I didn't want to be the first man on the moon without using a rocket either 😆

Thats brilliant mate , well done 👍 .one question though , is it safe to burn with it being galvanised steel . i know you sanded all round the bit u welded but will it give off bad fumes from the rest of the stove if im burning outside ? ive got a galvanised empty bottle that i thought was no use for a stove until now thats all ....😊

Check my woodstove videos- Ive made these for a living for 20 years. To remove the valve I use a 200mm long piece of heavy 2" pipe with notches to clear the two sticky out parts. It sounds like you have been watching my vids anyway. Yours looks smashing.
