Secret Forest Society is a brilliantly fitting name for this collection, which is absolutely gorgeous, by the way. 💚 I also really love how this journal/planner turned out, it seems so simple but looks incredible. Your videos sure help me when I’m in a creative slump. I’ll go back and watch some of the older ones too, (which are just as inspiring 💚), but it is wonderful to see how your talent and style have grown and evolved into something so impressively you. I also sometimes feel discouraged when looking at my daily journal, and so now you have given me an idea, JUST MAKE A NEW ONE!!!!! Who would have thought !!!!!! You are an awesome artist and I get inspired and excited everytime I watch you work. Thank you for the gentle and loving way you go about explaining and for giving of yourself everytime, whether you are feeling good, bad, or maybe a bit indifferent, you come on and make a wonderful video which makes OUR day so much better. Oh Wow!! I love this so much. And having you flip back and forth after your signatures were sewn in, was the most fun ever. I love the sound of different textures of paper being shuffled around! It was so fun watching your process of putting your signatures together. I love all the fodder you have. Especially when theres gold on the page. Beautiful. It’s going to be fun watching you play in this Journal for the next 6 months. And then we get to watch you make another new one!! This is exciting. Glad you found your joy. Because it’s contagious. Yes! I completely understand your feelings about journals. Some come together so easily and others just take longer to feel done. Yet others, never feel done..and as pretty as they can be, they just end up on a shelf. You never know what that last thing will be that will make it feel like "you"...a scrap of painted paper from a gelli print experiment...a page from an old book you practiced watercolor on..or something on the bottom of the collage fodder bin. You add that..and it's like the last puzzle piece falls into place, such a feeling of *sigh, yes that's it!*

This is fantastic Barbara!! If I've learned one thing about junk journaling is that it might not be such a bad idea to work on 2 or 3 journals at a time, so that when you need a break from one you can pick up one of the others. Sometimes, you can get a creative block with one and cannot go any further for that moment. That's when picking up something else to work on is a huge help. I do know that I've gotten burned out on just one project at a time. This book you've started is beyond amazing. Colors I love. Hugs, Carol Schneider

Hello (again) Barbara, don't know what happened with my comment to you. The computer went CRAAAAAZY on me and typed a whole lot of "g's" as you can see!!!!!! I think it is going to be one of those day, oh well, here goes again. Barbara, what I was trying to say was, that you have given me an idea to alter my journal for a new one. I have also got discouraged with my old one, so I am going to make a new one. Your digitals for February are so pretty, the fox and birds with their jewels are super cute. I also want to thank you for your gentle and loving way in which you explain and show how you go about your layouts and also adding various things to the journal. You have such a wonderful way of explaining and I love to have my first cup of coffee with you on your video days, and miss you when you don't!!!!!! I am just through the Unmentionable and hubby on day 4. I have a very sad, clean and tidy craft room. Mo and Jo have left me but if I go steady I think this could re-ignight the mess making. Ha!!!! Love love love these papers and the dark red bird is so beautiful.

Wishing you the best of luck with your new planner! It’s beautiful and so are your digitals! It’s interesting how we at first can think that simplifying things will save us time, only to find that in the long run taking away the fun is also reducing our efficiency… For me having fun decorating my journal is key to using it, and using my journal is key to my wellbeing!

This is my favorite kit to date of yours!!!! It's so soft but bright and has this cozy feel!! I do feel the wolf however, is an artic fox not a wolf. .. which makes the kit even more cohesive and playful!!!! Thank you for always coming up with the best goodies for us. And videos to inspire us❤️❤️

This turned out wonderful! I've been doing something similar after doing as December Daily last year. I'm not working in it daily, but I made a winter junk journal and work in it when I want to. Like December Daily as far as memory keeping, but not daily necessarily. I love it! I don't have a calendar, but otherwise its similar as far as notes and goals. I am LOVING working in it!

🥰Love this so much! I have always had trouble with planning journals. There was always something missing, even if I made them myself. This is just what was missing. The soul of my planner! I have been thinking along the same lines as you. I had a note book I was keeping my info on eco dying and rust dying. I thought it would make so much more sense for me to make a journal for my own use. I used fabric and papers I had dyed to make it and I enjoy using it !

I really like this a lot, I totally get what you’re saying, I’m already not liking my 2022 planner , it feels too confined for me. I’m giving myself permission to set it aside and make a new one. Thank you for this video , it became very clear to me what I need to do. I love the February digital kit, will be ordering tomorrow 💋💋

I've done exactly the same as you Barbara. I made an altered book one and it became a chore. I loved it at the beginning but after a couple of months I just couldn't be bothered. I keep thinking I should use some of those pages as collage pieces. I really love this idea and can't believe I hadn't thought of it. We have journals for so many different things yet I hadn't thought of doing one as a bullet journal. Thank you so much x

I love the new concept😍. I’ll continue my journal for the six months and then in July I should be up to date to start the new style. I think this fits in much better with your crafting energy and style!

Oh how lovely! You should sell journals completed just like this one! For us artistically challenged people who can’t make such things and don’t own sewing machines (I’ve never even seen one in person lol)
