This is such an apropos page for now. We don’t have snow in Texas but it is cold. Sooo cute. Actually I think I have hoarded that paper doll because of the dog. 🙄 it never occurred to me that I could separate it. Thanks for the permission. 😉

Thanks for the yummy snack! Turned out gorgeous, of course! I love how she used circles! I might give that a try-fun way to add shapes! I actually like ground espresso-it’s definitely more brown than vintage photo.

Walnut Stain is my second go to distress ink. The regular distress in both are darker than the Oxides so you may just need to switch out to the regular to get the actual brown.

I love it! And you are right, that lady can probably take better care of the doggy! I like walnut stain, and also Gathered Twigs oxide inks also it is a deeper shade. I always enjoy watching you work!

Love the sentiments - I too love to watch the snow fall...but from inside the house!! I love snow covered pines so I really like what you’ve done. I use to always use walnut stain. Started using vintage photo because everyone else did. Just in the last few days I’ve switched back to the walnut stain. I like it better.

For Christmas, someone gave me a small Cast Iron Pan. I couldn’t get it out of the package. So I finally just ripped it open. OMG! The most beautiful corrugated card board ever. It peeled the top layer off so easy. It had deep corrugated gouges on it but it was light weight and thin. Not too much bulk. I got so excited and peeled the top layer off in spots and I saved every scrap! Lol. One of the bigger pieces made it to my Journal Cover with some Gesso and some gold paint, added with my finger tool (thank you for that. One tool I didn’t have to go out and buy!). I learn something every time I watch a snack. I saw this small piece of neutral paper and thought, “What is she going to do with that!!!?” I love this page! Love the key on the Bulldog Pin. I’m going to make one of these with my gold key, and put it on my cover along with my little gold Corrugated Cardboard cluster!! Fun snack!! Thank you again!!

@@49dragonflies it’s such a weird process! I think it’s done (the cover) and then I see something else and I go off on that tangent! Lol. The tiny beads on your key charm reminded me of a broken necklace I had, made out of seed beads. The perfect color to match my cover. So here I am. Creating another thing to add to the layers. Inspiration is so fun. Lol

You definitely need walnut stain! You will be very surprised how wonderful it looks especially after using vintage photo for years! If you'd ask Sonja, she would say: vintage photo has nothing to do on a spread with my ephemera 🤣🤣

Ground Espresso has a deep richness about it. I think you may like it better. Walnut Stain is quite dark. Both would be a nice addition to your collection. I love this snack! Every time I watch a snack, the music reminds me of the movie "The Bucket List". So relaxing and easy to the ears. Love and hugs from Arkansas! Diane

I use "potting soil" from Archive Ink for my edging and I love it. It's definitely less warm and more of a true brown than vintage photo

Walnut stain is very good to match coffee stained paper. I keep both handy to match the paper. I even use colors around, then stain on the very edge. Sonja’s items are very pretty.

I bought the Walnut Stain because Vintage Photo was out of stock and I LOVE it. It is a bit darker, but I find that I don't use as much and I am usually happier with the result. Love this page! Those clusters are BEAUTIFUL! Your snack videos are really inspiring!
