I love your videos!! Also, if you don’t have dehydrator, you can use rubbing alcohol, I would even consider it better than some dehydrators!

Very cool. I'm always scared to file the top of my nails like that. Makes em weak, stripping off those layers of nail. I dont do long nails like that or gelX either. I just use normal lacquer lol (holo taco baby! ♡)

Buffing them doesn’t remove a layer of nail (I think) it just scratched up the surface layer :)

Buffing won’t damage the nail plate it just buffs off dead skin

So I do pretty much exactly what you do to prep and apply my gel-x Except I use Apres My question is how do you keep your natural nails in good condition? My natural nails have deteriorated and are extremely thin now. I used to use other cheaper brands but due to the condition of my natural nails I decided to try the more expensive brand because I had heard it is healthier and easier on your nails. Is there anything specific you or anyone reading this knows of or does to their natural nails to prevent this? Or is it just my nails that are having this problem?

I quit buffing my nail beds until my nails became healthy and my nails stay on just as long. I do the same nail prep minus the buffing or roughing up the nail surface. Then I put one layer of "Nutra Nail green tea nail strengthener", let dry. Put a thin layer of gel base coat, I use the Beetles Nail "glue" and cure....I prep the gel x nails the same way done in this video. Take your time when it comes to removing the nails, that also makes a big difference. My natural nails are now strong and healthy and my false nails never come off or pop off until I am ready😂

I prep then apply a rubber base coat then jello jello peel off base gel (last 2 weeks) I haven’t gone any longer because by 2 weeks I am ready for a new set! This has helped my nails tremendously! Most weakening of the natural nails is due to improper removal.
