Hi there! My name is Beatriz Penas and I'm a portuguese illustrator, nice to meet you! I've been taking my illustration more seriously and making a business out of it since the beggining of 2019. I am the same 😱 I even use my kids stationary and save mine 🙈but don't allow them to use mine at all lol.i can woke into a shop and but the stationary I don't even need as an adult cause I'm a stationary hoarder

Thank you for this! I just love watching your videos. A question: Do you need a special kind of ink to prevent smearing when hands are wet when handling the notepad?

Not really, any ink will smudge with wet hands or something, it's still paper! But laser printing can be a bit tricky with high temperatures

I use to cute with a strong x-ato knife but last year I bought a big guillotine that cuts a lot of sheets at the same time so I use that now 🥰 Glad I could help 💛✨

I only tried it with white glue! It's good because when it dries it very elastic and it doesn't break! But if you try with another one, let me know if it worked :)

Some uses padding glue, but you can use any liquid glue though. Based on my experience.

Hiii! :) I use pva glue, it's transparent and it dries very thin! It's also very flexible, which is perfect for tearing off the pages! Hope it helps!

Think this can be done with oversized pads? something that would mount to an easel once glued together? Think 3M's blank notepads, except I want to print a bunch of things that are just as large, but I want them bound like this.

Hi design them on Procreate of photoshop and I use my own illustrations! The sizing depends, normally A6 or 9x9cm

Hello Lorena! Since I do my own notepads, I do them with as many sheets as I want. You can order already made notepads, normally with 30 or 50 sheets, on websites like awesome merchandise :) Have a lovely week!

I used to use an x-ato knife, the trick is to not apply any pressure on the cut so it doesn't 'eat' the paper! :)

Is cutting with blade and ruler better than cutting with a guillotine cutter? I'm using a guillotine cutter but my cuts are still not perfect and equal 😢

Blade and ruler is harder because you get tired so you cant do a lot of them at the same time. But yes, with the cutter is hard to get them acurate by the milimiter sometimes, it takes a lot of practice and patience. Keep trying, but if you get to frustrated, try with blade and ruler just to see the difference! 😊
