Ahh Holly this makes me so happy to see and hear ❤ I don't often comment but I can't help thinking how incredibly much you have grown as a person. I have watched your channel ever since your freshers days at cambridge and I think the holly back then would have been SHOOK to her core if she knew all the incredible things you now do. The travelling, the marathon running, the food freedom, and now this amazing relationship are all possible purely because you have chosen to push outside of your comfort zone again and again and again - you felt the fear and did it anyway! That is so cool and inspirational 🥰 it seems the more things you try the more the world rewards your efforts. I could not be more proud of you and I think freshersweek holly would be, too! You so deserve all this girl, well done and thank you for letting us see and experience this growth with you through your vids ❤ lots of hugs!

Actually my boyfriend of two and a half years and I have quite a similiar story of getting to know each other. I have always been scared, that love found over dating apps could just not happen or last... we messaged for like four weeks - also like whole stories, like we could literally make a book about it. Then he suddenly stopped replying. He struggled with his choice of degree and basically went through a short term depression. We never met, but like seven months later (from march to december) he messaged me out of the blue, telling me about his struggels and asking if I would still consider going on a date with him. We then met - and literally walked 10k all day through his hometown. He later told me, that he had never been on a date for a whole day and was like: Wow this girl must be crazy 😂 but he still went with it - I on the other hand really liked that we were able to like spend a whole day together without it getting exhausting or boring. We ended up getting together two months later. And here we are. I actually had to smile a lot during your story since it reminds me so much of our story... like I had the same hard time with dating apps - but I am also incredibly introverted and was trying to get out of my isolation by challenging myself to go out, find friends and date. Of course somewhere deep down I hoped to find someone, who I could really connect with. But again, I didn't think dating apps could help me find true love. So my boyfriend and I also do have to thank (in this case) bumble. It just happened to make our relationship possible at all... :)

LOVE IT! This reminds me so much of how I met my boyfriend. I literally signed up for a dating app to prove to myself it wouldn´t lead anywhere. Same for him. We send us so many texts and simply got along so well. We went on our first date. I almost friendszoned him, but luckily realized the next date, that I actually was just overthinking and liked him a lot :D We have now been together for almost three years.

This is so adorable! I chuckled when you talked about rejecting Angelo… after I had my first date with my crush, he said he just wanted to be friends, I felt so rejected when he friend zoned me. He then talked and flirted with me every single day for months. We’ve now been together 20 years, married for 9 those of those and have two kids 😂 He says his inexperienced 16 year old self panicked around me 😂

The idea that you can forget to text him back in that long message is ludicrous seeing as it was your first experience of essay texting a man on a dating app. And also you literally said in the very same message that its due to anxiety and over thinking it. One can't overthink it and forget it at once. It's just a pet peev of mine when friends/ people alwaaays say of sorry I forgot (like they are original). Im like no you didn't but I dont care urgh stop saying that. And they still keep say it obviously because it's a power move/ attempt to feel in control, but like whatever you gotta tell yourself...Anyway though he seems pretty legit, which is exciting and nice!
