Beautifully said. But I often wonder… What do abusive men think of a man treating their daughter that way? It’s so sad to me that men will never ever really understand just how fragile women can really be. Both physically and emotionally. We really do require lots of kindness and tenderness. My heart goes out to any woman who is emotionally or physically abused.

When career comes first, not all men adopt to that easily, and that's what a (career woman) means. Unlike when being a woman/wife is the main priority to the women ( a woman with a career). That was so valuable words and very important to be understood by all our sisters and other women of course. All respect to you brother Ali.

Mashallah one of the best advice I have seen on this topic. Easy and straight to the point and I literally agree 100% you said brother, we don’t mind Muslim women having jobs or careers because majority of time *they have too* especially living in the West. But you must compromise and when your work is done be in feminine and wife mode and the husband will appreciate it soo much. The men who think “women must obey me, I’m an alpha masculine man blah blah” women will never respect you and don’t even want to spend time with you with an attitude and character like that. If I had a daughter and I knew my daughter’s husband was speaking to her like that he will spend a lot of time in the hospital 🤷🏾‍♂️.

This is a sad reality of modern time, woman are forced in careers, even those who don't want a career life, have to do some job because without earnings they has no value. The best place for a woman is the home and i think women should more focus on her mental and physical health so that she can give birth to healthy and cultured people in society. The level of greed is so much in today's society that a woman no matters how pious and obedient she is has no value if she doesn't have money or good job.

Fatima H 1 second ago Be it the Masculine ideal or feminine Perfection starts in our intentions and all outcomes henceforth are possible but it implies work on the self and the requires self awareness if only we read between the lines. Our brother shared this not because he knows all but because he values the teachings spread by our best example and leader in Faith, our Prophet. Love of women folk does not come natural to women folk why? Why do we say he should be modelled when we have the best of creation to follow henceforth. With sunnah love comes life ! He is not only publicly crediting and acknowledging his wife because she deserves acknowledgement not because he does but for the womenkind to take heed. Alhamdulilah for all conditions and states of affairs. Allah forgive us. Remove our lacking work ethic. We deserve a better future to because we slaves of Allah. *Loudly shouts* ∞ × Astaghfirallah!?

I too am blessed to have a job where I can work from home. This way I am able to spend quality time both before and after school with my children. But unlike your wife I had to take a pay cut to do this, but I was so happy to! What did I do with my extra money anyways? Buy more unnecessary STUFF. Now I don’t have to deal with traffic, work drama, or stressful deadlines. I chose to take an easy job for my family. It was the best decision that I ever made! Prior to that I decided to take on a career. I was absolutely miserable, always in a bad mood. I want to urge mothers that if you have an office job, push for the option to work from home at least a couple days a week. A lot of employers will make a compromise with you, Especially post Covid. What young women need to realize is feminism sold us a lie… You cannot have it all. If you’re going to have the high-paying career where you work long hours and you rise to the top, well guess what? Your family and your children will suffer. And at the end you will most likely regret it, because you missed out on the most important moments of your children’s lives. While I know that feminism sold us a lie, why didn’t our Muslim mothers and aunts inform us that one day we too will be mothers and we need to put careers on the back burner, at least temporarily? The most important thing is to have a healthy balance… Working from home or even part-time work are great options. And that doesn’t have to be permanent. Once your children are older and more independent you can go back to working more hours if family life permits. Lastly I want to mention… The intention was never to be compassionate towards women when they gave women all these rights. The intention was to get women out of the home, put their children in institutions where they can be indoctrinated and of course to increase the flow of taxes. The feminist movement was based on a lie. Their intention was always sinister. Oh and one more thing… I absolutely hate the mingling of men and women in the workplace. Most affairs come from work. Keep an eye on your spouses.

@@malikiclique Another thing I want your viewers to know is, when I had my children I asked my supervisors for flexibility in my schedule. They both allowed me to temporarily cut my hours and even permanently work from home a few days a week. Folks, it doesn’t hurt to ask Your boss for flexibility. Many times they will give in to your request because they don’t want to lose you… They’re not gonna tell you this of course. It’s a lot easier to compromise with you than to hire a brand new employee. The worst that could happen is they’ll say no, the best that can happen is they will Give you what you want. You won’t know if you don’t ask.

@Maliki Clique (Mr. Ali) is absolutely right , yours is the best comment ever MashaAllah . You retain a very balanced and intellectual approach and I hope your husband appreciates you . *As for your question* : " *While I know that feminism sold us a lie, why didn’t our Muslim mothers and aunts inform us that one day we too will be mothers and we need to put careers on the back burner, at least temporarily* ? " , I take pride in the fact that though educated enough I chose to work sporadically whenever I could manage so as not to miss out on/ignore my children's growing years . Alhamdulillah my children are two strong, responsible citizens with an appreciable set of ethical values. When we were marring off my daughter, who is a very focused , career-oriented and skilled Dental Surgeon , I sat her down and had a discussion with her , where I suggested to her that she had to be a home maker and a responsible wife / mother. I suggested that she should consider to put up her priorities in the right sequence , so that the responsibility of motherhood that Allah swt blesses her with should come foremost . Alhamdulillah she agreed to most of my logic and now she has taken time off to look after her little angelic daughter and her husband :) . My son knows he has to be able to support his wife/family financially , instead of asking her to contribute . I did not make an exceptional career like my sisters did ,but I raised two children that I am proud of Alhamdulillah .

I think a healthy balance should be for both and not just women, men too could miss their kids moments and leave his wife suffer with the kids alone, like she is single mother. father could take care of his children too, cook and clean when its needed.

Its all about respecting and loving one another enough to work with one anothers strengths and weakenesses, respecting eachothers rights upon one another and respecting the fact that even within a marriage you give eachother space to be individuals without ownership...For Allah almighty has created 'man and woman' to compliment eachother and come together as a whole...When one or both take eachother for granted and their expectations exceed beyond the barrier of love and respect thats when troubles begin...Hadrat Khadijah (ra), wife of the Holy Prophet (sww), was an accomplished businesswoman, IF having a career was a bad choice for women this marriage wouldn't have come about, there was wisdom behind every act practised by our Prophet (sww)...She was also a respected wife and mother who fullfilled her duties beautifully...Our Prophet (pbuh) being the messenger of Allah (swt) didn't find this offensive but actually supported his wife as a tradesman at work aswell as helping at home with the daily household chores, this shows true love and affection...This didn't take anything away from his masculinity but actually enhanced it beyond the norm...Now a days lines of r Love and Respect have been blurred through the cultural expectations of 'who belongs in which box'...Instead of both parties working together to create an extention of their love and harmony each is constantley pushed and shoved into named boxes...Not every woman is a career seeking person but a support for her husband to keep a roof over their heads and NOT every man shy's away from supporting his wife in the home...Alhamdulilah🤲

Salam Maliki. Wat ever u've said is well and good for u and your wife, alhamdullilah. Frm my own experience, after witnessing & experiencing my late father's treatment of my late mum(who begot him 13 children, was a nurse supporting him wen he was still in College), his treatment of us (or shld I say his selfish regard of us children wen young until adulthood!), his heavy drinking of hard liquor, chained smoking, womanising, nonchalance for our general well being(u get my drift), and observing my own brother's behaviour toward their wives, d Islamic religious authorities treatment of Muslim women in my ctry(Msia), I can only say tqvm to Allah'sSWT frm saving me frm d marriage institution as it is. U 4got to mention dat d Muslim men can hav up to 4 wives, at least in my ctry. So, wat can happen is, d man marries 4 working wives, wen they die he ends up enjoying 4 pensions frm his wives!! Better still, he marries more than 1 working wife, doesn't maintain her nor their offsprings, gets to 'enjoy her' with no responsibilities(since zina is strictly prohibited by d same religious authorities)! We've not talked abt d Muslim law of inheritance, dat's another hair raising episode for d Muslim women here!!

As a woman who hasn't gotten married, a lot of times I don't even get the chance to explain myself like your wife did. Most often than not, people assume I'm an ambitious career woman or worse, ASSUMING I have so may criteria for a husband. Well, once I told my -love to assume- coworker who happens to be male, that I'm busy with work coz I don't have anything to get busy with at home. I seemed dedicated to my job, coz I feel responsible to the projects I'm entrusted. Would being lazy and has nothing to do would be more attractive? Would being untrustworthy and unreliable at work will give me more brownie points from potential suitor? That's ridiculous, right? And of course, I have criteria for a husband. Even when buying clothes, you want something that fits you, right? But there's a big difference between wanting clothes that fit and flattering you with wanting branded clothing just because of the name brand.. Some even accuse my degree as a deterrent for potential man, to which I answer: do you want intelligent woman who can teach your kids or stupid woman who can't teach your kids nor understand you? Besides, a Smart woman know how to place herself and know how to conduct, and a woman with iman would know her obligations without being yelled at. Edit: men as well

I guess you are fortunate where both have a suitable life income set up. Mashallah. Many others (women) have to work to make ends meet and most men are ok with that as it takes away the financial stress. Situations may differ and circumstances. It is difficult if there are children involved...school extra curricular stuff docs dentists etc most women work for extra cash to support their families . But some do leave kids and husbands and chores and many are the only breadwinners..so I feel it differs from situation to situation.

I find what you said interesting, but, what about your wife free mixing with men? That might be the only thing I'm stuck on.

My wife doesn’t mix, she works from home. But if u are referring yourself, I would say that it’s not an option for u if u can’t tolerate it This is why we talk before marriage. This is why we see if we are compatible with each other before we allow the feelings to come in If your wife working with men bothers u (it’s bothers me as well) then it’s still possible to marry a woman that wants to be a stay at home mom or that works from home It’s all about finding her now, or her finding u. I hope that helps

It’s tough for women. Since childhood we’ve been drilled into believing education is the most important thing only to become wives and mothers, then to realize your family is the most important thing. Society is not honest with women. While in college someone should’ve told us not to believe the feminist fantasy of having it all. I was born Muslim, why didn’t anyone tell me the reality?

@@EB-gt1pq I don't understand with all due respect cause seeing your comment is like saying why don't men from childhood told that they are going to be fathers/husbands and not chase carrers? Studying is permissible in of itself, motherhood/ wife is a separate path of life distinct from personal preferences when it comes to education so why are you confusing the both? Just take your words and apply it to men and see the similarity

Brothers can I ask you something? I honestly don’t understand the concept of obeying your husband. What does that mean exactly? Obey in what way? Can you give specifics. The reason I ask is that my husband, God bless him, is a terrible decision maker. Because of that I have to manage all of our finances and have honestly learned to not trust him with certain things. I feel he makes immature decisions at times. So how do I obey a spouse like that? If I left him to manage money, we would probably be bankrupt. If I let him do most of the children’s discipline, they will goof off and watch TV all day. He’s a good man, he just doesn’t get a lot of things.

U might not want my answer, So I’m gonna Segway out if this. Side note, there is nothing wrong with consulting your wife. Final word goes to the husband though Otherwise there can be a lack of respect from your end to him and resentment from him to you. It doesn’t go well king term
