Hey hey hey!
Today's video is about how I care for my 4C hair. You can infuse moisture all you want in your hair when you are washing and deep condition, but your hair will be DRYYYYYYY AF is you ignore her all week!
So I am sharing how I have been caring for my hair. I have been making sure to moisturize and care for my hair and skin lately. Overall health really because I am trying to come out of quarantine UNBOTHERED but REAL CUTE CUTE! You know what I mean? lol

This is so different from the "minimal manipulation" rule I always heard in older hair videos. And your hair seems to still grow despite you handling it like every two days. Hmmm. Great video btw.

Although I am moisturizing every couple of days, I am not detangling or using anything harsh methods. The amount of hair that I lose is so minimal as well. I think low manipulation means less detangling but moisturizing is key. x

Thank you for this video Jenn I feel like most youtubers tend to brush off what they do during the week. Something I struggle with during the week is keeping my hair moisturized and I thought it was only my haid that got dry in the middle of the week because no one ever talks about this so thank you. You are beautiful and I love your accent. I’m so happy I found you. You gave me so much hope. First KZfaqr I saw with my exact hair type. I purchase some pure oils products and waiting on my Imonatural products. I’m rocking much softer twist and fros now. Bye hair gels!!! I have stuck to a weekly hair routine. Hoping to train my hair to hold styles longer. I already have good length it just was not strong. The breaking and shedding has completely stop in just two weeks. I only use my hands to detangle and style now. Which has made things so much easier. #proudnaturallady

I'm still mesmerized how fast your hair has grown. You say 10 minutes I don't know about that. My hair is not as long as your hair and it takes me a almost an hour to do. I see you at almost 91G followers. Great! The Melanin leave on conditioner has been out of stock for awhile.

It gets better with time. It used to take me up to an hour to do anything and I mean anything. Now no longer than maybe 30 minutes and that is a stretch because I started washing and deep conditioning in the shower that has saved me alot of time. Plus I preepoo. Its simplier when we are trying not to force or over manipulate our hair and just let it be. Grows faster too.

Best thing to me, that you've decided to do in 2020. To show what is done on a daily basis is soo very helpful for me. I am 2.5yrs natural an I get frustrated because I dont kno what to do on a daily basis. My hair is tip of the ear length. Like u said I kno what to do on wash day but after tht its like.... so I THANK YOU for deciding to do this series. Thanks for the education and for keeping it real! People follow real!!

Made the mistake of washing my short- but-not-TWA-short hair like Becky. The minute I started detangling, I thought of you. Shoulda twisted it like you said! LOL girl do it in sectionsssss! It honestly isn't worth it. Once my hair started to grow out, some of the twists wouldn't stay but I still did sections :)

Jenn Jackson my hair was so dry after I used the conditioner and cream together i was scared it would be a case of cutting off my hair and starting again but I w/ my head shape I couldn’t imagine anything good 😫What makes it worse is the cost to actually get it to the U.K. 🤦🏾‍♀️ such a fail 😂

Mine is short and it takes me the same as hers. I also HAVE TO seal with heavy oil or else the moisture is useless ...soooo high porosity! And the detangling is nuts but I like ow it looks like you don’t dangle much

IKR. My hair is short...TWA but it's growing (finally.) It takes me about the same amount of time or maybe longer because when I'm working on the back of my head my arms get tired...resulting in me always being lazy and just sporting a shrunken fro.

this video was so helpful! i’m still new to caring for my 4c hair and i was wondering how often i should shampoo/fully wash it or have a wash day? i just took box braids out that have been in for a really long time (like 3 months lol) so i did a really deep treatment/wash on july 1st and i’m not sure when my next wash day should be. thanks!

I tend to have the most trouble with my scalp and ends. I've recently adopted a routine that has been keeping my scalp moisturized. I've heard good things about using flax seed gel on ends to seal in moisturize. I've been wanting to try it, but just haven't gotten around to it yet haha.

not seal in moisture, keep the ends of twists and what not from tangling. Apparently the gel helps hold the coil pattern

Ah interesting. Flax seed is definitely a more gentle "gel" than the commercial ones

Only thing holding my hair back is my horrible apartment water that causes matted unmanageable hair every time..but I will continue researching the videos you just posted and try nursing my hair back to health.

Hard water shower filters do exists if that’s the issue. Those might be worth the investment
