when i don't compare myself to others i make fire beats, but my problem is that it's not that type of music i wanna make.. if i hear something fire and i'm like damn i wanna make a beat like that, i do it and it doesn't sound good 'cause idk how to make something similar

“Constructive criticism” more like comparison is the killer of all joy. You felt small after hearing his accomplishments, instead of feeling inspired & relieved you’re getting advice from a reputable professional. So in turn, you tried to project your feelings of inadequacy on him with another comparison. Listen bruv, every dog has its day. And every dog always brings home the catch to celebrate. One day you’ll do the same, only if you change ya mindframe.

He’s not trying to distance himself, there’s already a clear established difference. When it comes to advice, some peopl want to learn from actually experienced teachers. There’s a difference from those who talk the talk vs those who walk the walk. For instance, saying ‘advice is advice’ is akin to saying, school is school. However, the experience one might receive at a private school would obviously be way different than one from a public school. Lastly, you can voice your opinion all you want. But if your opinion comes of mad or salty than, it is what it is. You’re trying to critiq a producer who’s taking time out his day to motivate & make the community better. Yet, hiding your sly remarks under the guise of constructive criticism… Imagine that, a guy like you who isn’t even confident enough to post his own beats telling someone else what to do. See what I just did there with that last paragraph? That’s how you come off to others.
