what if it's a local artist that works with many producers? should I invest my time with him or find a local rapper and build exclusively so that I'm the main producer and not one of many?

If producers from big labels are hit you up through email and tell you they like your beat, but you have to pay a small placement fee to ensure that your beat get to the artist and on the next upcoming album...should it be taken serious or is it a scam??

It’s a scam. I almost fell for someone who offered a placement with chris brown 😭 ain’t such thing as a palacement fee paid to a producer. Here’s why logically payin a placement fee doesn’t make sense: 1. It’s the artist and the label who decide what songs get put out. Not the beatmaker. 2. The producers get paid from the artist/label anyway so chargin another producer for a “placement fee” is literally pointless. Stay safe man, there’s a lot of mfs tryina take advantage of us upcoming creatives

Everyone wants to be a producer, but no one wants to be a composer like Chopin, Bach, Mozart, which is strange because those real composers didn't buy their careers like others in these days. Start cmposing, learn how to write notes and start working with paper and a pencil not only mouse and DAW.
