Ive currently got a 420d on 5.9%, i got a year left from the five years. Ive recently bought a p450 f type and thats on 8.9%

Ok cool cause I was so confused I’m in the U.S , in my head I felt like it should have been lower since we’re using the business’s credit . 8% Is still on the higher end .

It's simple, instead of paying 558,248 pounds, you've put down a deposit of 140,150 pounds and will ultimately pay for the car 629,440 pounds, which is around 71,000 pounds more. Question is, can you invest/put to work/etc. what you saved - around 418,000 (minus 4,000 every month) in two years and turn 71,000 profit? If yes - then worth the finance, if no - then not worth. P.S. I don't know how simpler I could have explained it, but since everyone commenting has missed my point - my comment is whether it is worth financing the car or buying it outright with cold hard cash (or bank transfer, realistically)

You also need to take off the tax benefits from being part of his business. That would bring the situation into a much more positive state

It’s why I ask people what they really want out of a car. Because in this day and age, a Revuelto’s level of performance is not worth $600k. That $140k down payment is way more than enough to get that level of performance. At some point it’s only a badge and a name. Then you gotta ask yourself, how much is that badge and being able to say “I drive a….” Worth to you??

Financing a car which may appreciate in value and is being used for business purposes, which will make you more money, makes a lot of sense. When people say "if you finance a car you can't afford it," they are referring to the majority of people who live above their means and finance a depreciating car which they could not afford in the first place.

Yianni, thanks for sharing and being transparent over your purchase. I'm not sure if you've done this before but what are the biggest and tallest drivers that could comfortably fit in your new car? It would be interesting to see what is the maximum size person without compromising comfort. This would probably break a few hearts of many bigger guys who would love such a car.

Never spend your collateral, always use the banks money! Through the business you can off set the monthly amount as an expense to pay less tax.

Why? It’s the same principal. Put down £3000 on a seat Ibiza, pay £300 pm, and a balloon of £12k, based on 10’000 miles per year. There ya go, done it for you without watching a video. You’re welcome……
