This is an inspiration. I love the psychology you bring to this and your honesty. I’ve been a professional drummer for 45yrs also. This is the best drum video I’ve seen in ages. Thanks.

I just love your musical philosophy, both regarding playing with others, and practicing. Not to mention your pocket! I have lint up my nose it's so deep! There's a lot of air surrounding each note you play.

Fantastic Shannon! Like you say it’s often the explanation that means more than the physical doing or at least in equal measures. I recall a Steve Gadd clinic where what he said meant just as much if not more than the playing. Thank you. M🥁👍

Hey Shannon, Thanks so much for all your insightful videos. Jeff Porcaro Is one of my favorite drummers and you sound a lot like him. I listened to the Modern Drummer interview from a couple months ago and all you shared is greatly appreciated. Have a Blessed day!

RESPECT. Fun thing to see that you practice BD like I used to do 20-30 years ago.. not knowing what or why I did it. But it worked :-) Your the best, now Jeff is not with us in person anymore.

My teacher, the legendary Bob Moses, taught me to sing the melody whilst singing the drum part. In other words living the music. This helps so much when you don't have time or you are not playing a lot at the moment.
