i just did 300cm 2x4 with stanley st18 table saw.... it was scary. iwas slow. but i understood it was not right, so now i am searching for how to resaw videos :D

Great idea! I'm glad someone was brave enough to try this and see that it works, because I'm definitely not lol. I was thinking solid backs weren't an option until I upgraded my bandsaw. I'll try this on my next build, thanks.

Pretty slick idea. When I saw the sawzall at first, I was like, I know he's kidding, until you explained that you ground the teeth off of both ends of the blade which become guides to keep the cutting part of the blade running true. It would be nice if you were able to put this in a bench with dog ears so you could have a more secure way to hold the work other than your knees, but if that's all you had to work with, (I myself don't have my bench set up to accept dog ear clamps); you have to do what you have to do and this turned out good.
