Your expert fingers move so quickly that retwisting looks very easy to do and it's a joy to watch! The end result is simply gorgeous. Beautiful sturdy locs!!

My loctitian is on maternity leave and I have to retwist my microlocs myself. It's a task. If I had realized how much effort it takes to self retwist, I would have gotten traditional locs. Your locs are beautiful. It makes me want to combine mine for a bigger size.

I just did my first retwist myself and it was … an experience 😅! Not sure I’m ever doing that again! You make it look so easy😭! Great job though, as always 😍! I’m going to guess loc petals for the hairstyle and that you’re turning 25🤗! Happy Birthday 🥳!

Love how it turned out! How long do your retwist usually last? I’m use to reties but i want to try doing retwists but I live in Mexico and I’m worried that it would just unravel the next day due to sweat 😅 also, what oil(s) are you using ?

My retwist usually last 1.5-2 weeks. It all depends , I make sure I have them tied up if I’m not going anywhere . I use my own oil that I make. I will be selling them pretty soon so be on the look out! 🥰🙌🏾

Heyyy, it’s whatever you want to do lol. I don’t know your hair and don’t know what would work for you. I wouldn’t advise every week but every few weeks is fine . Some people do 2 -6 weeks which is what I usually hear from others. I do every 3-6 weeks . Just depends on how I feel and whether or not I want to retwist my locs . When you were loose natural how often did you go in between washes ?

How do you usually dry them? The longer my Locs get, the longer they take to dry… and I HATE hooded dryers.

I usually just let them air dry but when I’m In a hurry I just use a regular dryer and just do it that way lol

How long does your retwist last? Every time I retwist my hair with water and oil it only last for a few days.

For me about a week , sometimes 2 . It depends on how you care for it . Most of the time I have it tied up if I’m not out , that helps too. The only thing is my edges but once you do them they look new lol

Yes, I twist them all clockwise except the front row , not all of them are twisted the same direction in the front .

Thank you so much and it depends between 1.5-2 weeks. Of course if I do double strand retwist it last 3+ weeks sometimes. Mostly it’s my edges that needs a touch lol

How long does it take to dry and how do you sleep with it after retwist?

It just depends if I blow dry it of course it takes shorter time to dry. If I get it done earlier during the day I just let it air dry for the rest of the day. If I retwist at night before bed I blow dry it because I don’t like going to sleep with wet hair. I wrap them up with my scarf and bonnet .

it all depends on the amount of hair on your head. she has smaller locs but a thick head of them, so she had a lot of loose hair to begin with

U MAKE IT LOOK SUPER EASY... IM WAITIN 3 MONTHS TO RETWIST MY HAIR ( MYSELF FOR THE FIRST TIME) FROM THE MIDDLE TOP OF MY HEAD TO THE BACK MY HAIR IS THICK AND NEW GROWTH IS GREAT BUT THE FRONT TO THE TOP OF MY HEAD MY HAIR IS THINNIN SO I KINDA FOCUS ON THE FRONT MORE WHEN IM MOISTURIZING PLUS I PRAY FOR LOTS OF NEW GROWTH..IM USIN PURE ALOE VERA JUICE AND A SPECIAL OIL I GET FROM A LOCTICIAN ... I KINDA WANT TO INTERLOCK THE FRONT AND SEE IF THAT HELPS AND U WILL B 25 YEARS YOUNG 🎁 AND I WOULD GUESS BUTTERFLY TWIST OR PASSION TWIST BUT THEY R KINDA THE SAME AND I REMEMBER U DOIN IT TO UR OWN HAIR SO IDK ???

Awww lol thanks for sharing but maybe you can try the interlocking and see if you like it . Just make sure that’s what you really want to do and do your research to see if it’s best for you. And yes lol I am turning 25… you will see what I did to my locs when I post my Vlog tomorrow lol. 🥰🙌🏾
