Because I know people will ask - original price of vehicle was about 60k, it was a 2019 with 14,700 miles and they gave me $43,400!

I was definitely able to negotiate my car's trade in/cash offer value. I took a quote I was given from another dealer and KBB that was higher than what they were offering me and they matched it. I bought a new car recently in CA and was a little disappointed too when I found out that my trade in didnt lower the taxable amount of the new car and I was still hit with the tax for the full amount, which sucks, but still happy with how little I had to pay overall for my new car.

I am investing every paycheck from my minimum pay job to get my 2nd and like actual dream car. My 1st husband is a Honda civic hatch. I still love him to this day from when I bought him at a Honda dealer. He has gotten to commute to work and back home. I usually use him to get to work for the most part. My 2nd husband, I will be getting a BMW and use to when I go out on my days off from work. This and you ms Jenna inspiring me more to do what i have been planning this investing since November of last year.

Carmax really low balled my Land Rover last fall I ended up fighting competing offers from a Honda and a speciality dealership until the speciality bowed out. Glad it worked out for you? Also the flying to SD now makes sense from insta haha

Every influencer never puts miles on their car and now I get it because if you can mainly work from home you won't add miles. I updated my car during the pandemic and I have only put 7K miles on it in 3 years. Though I'd love to update to an EV I can't quantify moving away from a car that's so cheap for me to keep and maintain when I also don't drive that much.

S or T? I'm guessing S. 100 grand before you are out the door, not an inexpensive vehicle. I prefer the Tesla charging network even though I've never used it. Just plug in, no payment info. Also Rivian as a brand may not endure.

I guess Carmax exists so that you wouldnt have to sell your car to a random stranger that you would still have to wait for. But its definitely a service that doesnt exist in other countries.

Went to carmax and got an offer for $9,000 for an 8 year VW with 130k miles. Walked next door to a place across the street called Bidlane, showed them my carmax offer and they gave me $10,200 on the spot with a $600 carmax competitor bonus. Highly would recommend if you’re considering carmax, they’ll match or beat whatever your offer is and they usually open stores nearby!

Why would you sell your Landrover? Although I like the oldies Defender & Discovery version. Every car maker can try to make a Landrover but these are classics even though you have a Velar. I thought you were a Landy girl?
