Well explained! Long hair gal over here too! I used to have a pixie cut but now that my hair is really long the hairdresser cut layers for me too.

You are 100% right. I noticed with my friend that when she had hair covering her face sidelines are face appeared longer. Even baby bangs that covered her forehead, made her face longer. But when I cut some layers into her face. Had her hair off her face. It appeared to be normal. Long faces should not be covered from the sides. That works well for round faces

Another way to add width to the face is by exposing the ears so that might be why! :)

Can totally see the difference 😍😍😍 great video! Btw, can you pls do a video for deepset eyes?? I see many videos/ tutorials for hooded eyes but not deepset eyes. A makeup artist once complimented me saying i have so much lid space to play around with eye makeup...but while a cat eyeliner looks great on me (and i can do it well myself haha) trying to do a glam smoky eye just makes me look dead 😂 So i just tend to leave my eyes with only mascara and liner because i don't know to use shadows flatteringly...

My face shape is exactly like your but a tiny bit bigger, does anyone know what its called? I keep getting either oval or oblong mainly oval. But i just dont see it

Do you have width in your cheekbones? You might be a Diamond or a Heart (I call it Hourglass in my system) if you have prominence in both the cheekbones and jawline!

Proportionally it’s not, but it looks long because of my pointy chin / long philtrum! I have wide cheekbones which makes my face look less long but I don't really like letting my cheekbones show like in the vid - hence the layers!

Well you have 4 main things and I don’t see that successfully correct them. #1 long face #2 long nose #3 giant cheek area (you have a lot of face) #4 poor eyebrows You are not fixing your hair in the way that take into account and actually fixes the 4 aspects I have mentioned above. You are the typical phenotype who has to stick to a short square haircut and highlight your eyes. Your hair needs to be even shorter and square. The hair touching your face can be a little longer than the rest making a diagonal. You can play with that but always square.

I partially agree with you! A shorter, blunt bob actually looks great for my proportions but it also highlights a more "masculine" image in me so I get some mixed opinions about the hair when it's that short :P This is actually me trying to grow out my hair from the short bob and I'm still in the process of growing it to a longer length!
