Hi Hannah 😃 One of the reasons that excites me the most when going back to school is meeting new people especially Christian people. It is an exciting time for me to hear their testimonies,make new friends, or even make a lifetime friends,and share to them my learnings and testimony in life. I am an incoming grade 11 student this month of August and I am happy to go back to school because everything is new for me. It’s scary when the demon that used to attack you at night when you’re all alone and about to sleep starts attacking you in the middle of the day when you’re trying get some work done in a crowded setting. I don’t know if you’re getting it but yeah, basically, I was having an emotional and mental breakdown prior to seeing this video. Like, I was literally bawling my eyes out and then I don’t know why and how. I just opened youtube*while crying* and your video was the first one to pop out. I wasn’t really expecting anything. Thank you so much for this Hannah! I am usually a "quiet viewer/subscriber" but this particular video of yours just hits home to me. I really needed this, especially with my academics. you remind me so much of my Tita (in a good way), she gave me a rosary and a prayer book before I left and migrated to Canada, she told me how I should never forget about my faith in God because He is always gonna be there whenever I need Him. It has been a tough 4 years living here, culture shock and homesickness really hit me hard like a brick. I suppose I got distant with my faith and God through those 4 years of trying to ease the pain and loneliness of being away from family. and today I am trying to go back to my faith (I used to go to church every Sunday when I was still back in the Philippines), I will try and listen to sermons to replace my lack of attendance in church. and this video gave me more motivation to regain my strength of being a believer in God and my faith in Him. This school year is quite different for me. I have been going to the same school for 12 years, and for the first time after more than a decade, I’ll be moving to a completely different place, in a completely different university, with a completely different kinds of people. It got me nervous at first. But with the support of my solid friends and of course, my family, anxiety turned in to excitement. I am excited because I know I was planted there for a reason. It’s going to be sad to leave everyone and everything I’ve gotten used to behind for awhile, but it excites me to think about the new people I’d meet, the firsts I’d get to experience with those people, the new things I’ll learn, and the new adventures I’ll have. I know everything happens for a reason, and I know that God placed me there because there is a purpose. I might not be able to decipher how or why right now, but I know He has a perfect timing for revealing it to me, and soon it’s going to make sense. “Some say that we live in this world in order to find true happiness” -unknown. The reason why I'm excited for this upcoming school year is because I will get the chance to finally apply one lesson I've learned last year, which is, “True happiness comes from serving other people”. The moment I realized the reason why I'm not happy is because I have wasted my whole life doing nothing and just being lazy, I then challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone. Getting out of my comfort zone means I have to do things I haven't done before. Yet, along the way I got so focused on what the outcome would be and with finding my own happiness that I became selfish. I've forgotten that I still have responsibilities other than myself. Some of which are to be a good friend, citizen, and daughter. I was so engrossed with improving myself that I've neglected other people. Then when I was finally able to accomplish my goals which would make me happy and see for my own self that I improved a lot I've realized that I'm still not happy. Considering there is this feeling that something is still missing. Then one day it hit me while I was reflecting that happiness does not only come from loving and improving yourself, but also by helping other people. So this upcoming school year I will challenge myself to find ways on how I could still grow and at the same time help other people find their happiness. Helping other people find their happiness means that I have to be responsible enough with my duties so that I will not be pabigat to them, reaching out to people more to make sure my friends and family are doing okay, giving my 100% in everything I do may it be homework or household chores, doing unexpected things out of love, and most especially offering these things I will do to God. For true happiness will only come from helping other people and saying no to yourself. Tbh, I remember always dreading the final days of summer vacation in which I knew school was right around the corner. The only highlight for me was school shopping because for some reason I really enjoy it, but the thought of losing the ability to relax and be stress free would plague me during that last week of summer but this year, things became different because this will be my last year in highschool and I'm actually sad about it that's why I am so excited and happy to be back in track and learn new things in classes that I actually want to take and find interesting. And I'm equally excited to be with my classmates and friends again. Basically, I am overjoyed to go back to school because it truly has become a second home to me. I am truly happy that I studied at my current school because this experience molded me of who I am today and gave me the chance to meet new opportunities and people that I treasure in my life now. And I cannot wait for all of the opportunities, both academically and socially, that are to come in my last year in high school. Why I'm excited for back to school... First off, since I'm grade 7 which also means that it's my first time in high school, I can't wait to experience a new start. What a great timing to watch this. What keeps me excited to go to school is the fact that it will be my last year in highschool. I'll be able to finish this whole roler coaster ride, and ofcourse make my parents proud (hopefully). I want all of my hardworks to pay-off at the end of this year. I'm already in school actually but I've never gone back to school shopping kasi my dad's having a hard time to set a side money for me and my sister to use. What I "looked" forward to is to have fun in my track which is Arts and Design. Some ppl say "its such an easy track" or "what kind of jobs do u even get by taking Arts and Design?" Imma be taking arki for college and some of my fellow schoolmates are too. Just because they think arts is easy believe me its not because every single track has its own difficulties and it also depends on how u handle yourself throughout your journey in senior high. I loved the last quote from your pastor. I realized that I've been stressing myself out because I have a lot of tasks thrown at me and its overwhelming. We never have to do it alone as you said. School may seem painful but we get to learn new things everyday that molds us to be better and be ready for what's ahead. Excitement and Nervousness, these are what i LOVE feeling when back to school season is coming near. Here are 6 REASONS WHY. 1st, shopping for school supplies gets me THRILLED! I absolutely love going to NBS with my mom and sister (it's one of our bonding time), checking the latest books, trying on colorful pens neatly stacked together, smelling the addictive smell of notebook leaves (is it just me or? Hahaha) and just finding myself getting lost in shelves, checking out different things that i need to buy for school. 2nd is, TRANSIT. When i go to school i ride a jeepney. I like glancing at people, observing them (but i don't make myself noticeable bc i don't want them to stare at me, thinking im a creeper haha) because who knows when will i get to see them again? I notice some passengers were sleepy, some were looking at their watch often, some were just looking outside watching the places we pass by, etc. I also love witnessing random acts of kindness when the passengers help an elderly or a child and a gentleman giving space for a lady for her to sit comfortably. It makes me smile randomly in these little things :) On the other side i get nervous when it's traffic and im about to be late for my first class! I get all giddy and my heart starts to beat fast bc i don't want to be scold or embarrassed in front of the class. 3rd, i get excited when i see my friends again. The CHATTING, hanging out and catching up with each other talking about our crushes, random topics, life updates and many more! Even when I go to the cr and i ask one of my friends to accompany me, the whole squad will go even though i just asked for one! (Hahaha) With my friends, it makes school less stressful and more fun because they are one of the reasons why i like coming to school. 4th, i get nervous with new PROFESSORS that i'm about to meet on the first day of school because maybe they are very strict or intimidating or terror. But i do get excited, challenging myself not to get intimidated by them and not to be scared because maybe it's one of their tactics to see if you're really determined in your studies. 5th, ALLOWANCE AND FOOD. Everyday i save extra money from my allowance because i don't spend it too much. I save it for buying things that i want or if i want to reward myself by satisfying my cravings or even treat my mom or family for some ice cream or what they want (but not that too expensive hahaha). Another is food, in the university belt there are a lot of varieties of food chains and mostly i want to try new things so my friends and I try on different food stalls every week in the foodcourt near our school but of course we see to it that it's clean (para sure). When the food is delicious that i can't resist myself ordering for an extra rice which i always do tho :) my favorite is when my mom gives me packed lunch and lutong bahay by mom is the BEST (right?) bc it's not healthy if i always eat fastfood (umay din minsan) 6th, the last but definitely not the least is SCHOOLWORKS. Schoolworks are really stressful and tiring. Sometimes i really get nervous when there's a surprise quiz and i was like WHY!? Or i accidentally slept in the middle of studying for an upcoming quiz/exam and the next day i rush myself studying the topics or lessons i've missed. Handouts after handouts, highlighting important terms, dark eyebags, looking haggard, staying up late until morning to study for an exam or quiz and being sabaw or SABOG from all the stress of schoolworks needed to be accomplished is really really really exhausting *SIGH*. But sometimes i love studying (What?! Hahaha) it gets me excited when i come to school ready for my exams, quizzes and lessons because i know it will all pay off sooner or later. Also when it's very hectic, i see myself awake at 3 am, my mom making me a hot coffee, kissing me goodnight before she goes to sleep and that motivates me more to do my best in school. It's part though, these things help us learn and achieve our goals. That's it! Hi Hannah! It's very fun watching ur vids not only i can relate but also i learn new things too. Hi Hannah! What makes me excited to go back to school aside from it will be another step toward graduation (OMG! I can feel it already... 2 years more... and I'm finally a degree holder!!!) Anyways, the first reason that has been keeping me excited for BTS was first, I LOVE FRESH START! Because there's always a special atmosphere at the beginning of a new school year--- new hopes, new dreams, new opportunities, new possibilities, new me! It's basically the chance to put the past behind me with a clean slate and even completely reinvent myself. Secondly, I'm looking forward to this upcoming school year because it's the perfect time to meet new people, hear their stories, and make new friends. Because after all, school is not just about learning--- it's also a place where there's always something fun to do and some people to hang out and get along with. The first part of the video was really inspiring. I was crying (no jokes) because I was really having hard time right now with my studies and my life in general and because of what you shared I was reminded that I was never alone in this battle. Thank you Hannah Anyway, I'm always excited every BTS but this year is extra exciting. Its because it feels like I'm given another chance to make it up to my failures last time. Supposedly, I should be graduating last June. However, I wasn't able to finish my thesis. It really affected me and my family as well. I felt like I was a failure, my depression became worse and worse everyday. It was a battle on how to keep on living. As days passed I started to accept my fate and made a promise to come back stronger on the next school/academic year. A minor setback for a major comeback kind of mantra. Moreover, with what you said in the first part it reminded me to always pray to God and to trust Him no matter what. That is why I'm really looking forward for this school year to learn more and to make things right. #BackToSchoolWithNBS

We've already started our academic year. And this year, I am very much excited in trying out new things, as the first born in the family, I've always stayed in my shell. But this year, I joined the volleyball team, the journalism team and also the clubs that I actually wanted. I already talked to my parents, convincing them to let me take the strand and course I would like to take in senior high and college respectively. This year, I wanted to be more of myself. I learned how to love myself more, and I am excited to actually love other people in the sense of how I love myself. Also, I study in a science high school which made me sacrifice time with my family and friends so I am very much excited to see and hopefully bond with them again. This year, I also engaged myself in spiritual activities which helped me believed in myself. I am excited to go back to school, because finally I can be me. I accepted the fact that it is okay, not to be okay as long as you don't lie to yourself. So we usually buys new stuffs, cool stuffs, etc. it inspires you to go to school everyday kasi kung makikita mo yung gamit mo mamomotivate ka na mag-aral at you can't wait to see your classmates again before, you miss having conversation with them, so school is another kinda messenger because that is the perfect to time to have coversation with your friends. Idk why but i cried so bad, i was just full of burden and worries how i can finish my thesis, how i can make my parents not disappointed, how i can graduate i was so not okay and when i saw this vid, i just suddenly cried, i dont know but tears kept on falling, and i realized i was taking the burden all by myself, i felt like God was talking to me saying that He is here for me. BTS is a mixture of nervousness and excitement. The feeling of uncertainty chills me since college is another level! I was baby-ied for the past years and going to college is a really huge step of adjustments. Plus, i took a course out of my league. This decision overwhelms me to study hard soon. I even advance read lessons during summer because I am really afraid my decision will go wrong. It's so nice to listen to an inspirational talk from a person that's in the same age group as you are. I really appreciate this video - a lot! My school had already started way back in June and I'm on 11th Grade now. Honestly, school is hard. That's something no one would beg to disagree. But despite of that, personally, I always get excited for back to school. I don't know but it signifies that every student gets to have a fresh start, a chance to do better, and an opportunity to prove themselves again.
