This is very similar to One note, I usually use that and i love it. I type my notes in on my laptop and then, review them later on the mobile app on my phone. It does seem a lot easier!

For this upcoming semester, I'm heavily considering digital note taking instead of hand writing on paper because I feel like my professors go through their slides and presentations really fast and my hands can't keep. Haha! Plus, I type really fast, so hopefully this helps. I'm also a PR student, so it's nice to come across a fellow KZfaqr with my major since I don't know many PR majors at my uni :)

Thanks for posting. It was interesting to see how you organize your notes and use them to study for exams. What I wanted to know more about is how one imports the posted notes from a professor, and whether these notetaking apps can import things from any format (e.g., PDF's, Powerpoint slides, word processing files) and use the as a base to annotate.

You should totally use notability! I have used both and love the future of recording on notability. It makes a big difference between the two apps. Also they now have a new feature where you can make custom colors which makes taking notes more fun!

Hey Lottie!! Loved the video!! I always find it so impressive when I see somebody typing out there notes. I’m an elementary education major so all of my notes are in a million different colors and fonts and have doodles all over them 🤣 I also might have a slight obsession with pens and markers 🤔 Although that app makes it look super easy and enjoyable to take notes!! I would really love to see a room tour when you get back to school!! Those are my absolute favorite videos of yours and I would love to see what your room looks like this year

Actually, a dorm room vs apartment one would be a good one! Like the pros and cons of living in each of them and which you prefer. I’m debating I if should live in an apartment my first year of college next year because living in a dorm is optional. Dorm life just doesn’t seem appealing to me

Hi there! I recently purchased an iPad with the intent of digital note taking in class. I’m a biology major so after watching this video and the previous one I found your information very helpful! My professors use graphs and diagrams a lot in powerpoints, but my question is how are powerpoints accessed on notability? Do they just need to be uploaded onto the iPad? Thank you for your help!

you can export them as a PDF and then send them over to the ipad! That is the method I use for my classes.

just open up the file on the safari app and you can send it to notability from there! super easy!

Marèl Schepers I don’t think she uses a keyboard case. Lottie probably uses an actual iPad case she likes, and mainly uses her MacBook device for typing.

I used a stylus in high school and for me I love the feature of being able to rest my palm on the screen! it's makes the experience a ton more natural and less awkward

Matt Sarff hey! I would say it’s worth it. I’m going into third year and finally got one and even though I’m almost done I think it was worth it. It’s so much easier in my opinion, and you can always resell the iPad when you’re done school

Paola Monge You could, I didn’t use a device in high school for notes and I did just fine without it :) the only class I actually took a lot of notes in that I had to write myself in grade 9 was math. A lot of my teachers gave us printed fill in notes. But it totally depends on the teacher and it’s up to you.

my minor is called design and media! not technically graphic design but it's in the art school at uga. I love it because I don't have to take art prerequisites and can jump into exactly what I'm interested in like typography, photography, history of graphic design, etc! and I'm taking the graphic communications class next semester as an elective with my major of public relations!

Aiden Shelford i have the iPad Pro, the app and the Apple Pencil and I personally find that using my iPad is way better than writing on paper. I write faster and can delete mistakes right away instead of reaching for my physical eraser...
