I don't understand how your pallet can be such a mess yet your colors are pure and unmuddied. And I really like both versions, but the second one better.

Nothing in the universe is 💯 pure in color. That’s how God created it. Image a world with no color variations. I have learned that my biggest mistakes are my most beautiful work. It is by accident & variations

I'm just starting to draw and paint and your original really didn't impress me and by the time you added the yellow leaves and the tree trunks and branches I was hooked. The color you choose for the road I thought was iffy but with the filling in of the water and inland with the yellow, white and greens seemed to add interest to the whole painting. It no longer felt like an endless boring road to nowhere. Adding the yellow light coming across the road also gave it a more realistic natural feeling. In the end I'm loving it. I'm reminded of the old country backroads down home where I grew up. Thank you and God bless ❤

I think you really improved the painting, and I'm really impressed with the way you dared apply more and more colors, it will help me so much to do the same, because I'm so scared to ruin my paint if I add too many hues of colors .. thank you so much for sharing.

I so want to learn how you know where the lights and darks go. How to give the feeling of depth and distance by mixing color. I have a Loooong way to go and watching this I need to just try. You won’t learn if you don’t try! It’s scary, but I guess scary is fear it won’t be right or good enough… but is that for myself or what others might think? Geez, the emotional s**t I put myself through… Arghh…I love what you do and glad I found you! I have a feeling I will learn some great things. Thank you for what you do!!

Love your style of painting. Thank you for the lesson. One thing I would change a bit; my eye is drawn to the 'smile' of bright green leaves in the middle just above the road.

I like the switch back at the end of the road so it looks like you are going back to the right. Also the brown looks good but needs some balance on right side where the green is. Also a few high twigs up in top of the tree on right. Looks great though

I want to walk around that corner! I definitely love the changes and I love that you are an acrylics artist. It seems to me like most of the acrylics artists on KZfaq paint fantasy or poster style, but when I saw your face I recognized you from Eric Rhoads Art School Live, so I knew your style is something I am interested in. Thank you for sharing this. I have some paintings that are OK, but I know they aren't as good as they could be. You have given me some ideas.

Something about the two “stripes” of orange on the right up the bank -the ones close together around the trunk of the tree-are bothering me… maybe merge them slightly in a couple places? Really liked when you streamed the light across the road where it turned. I love it overall! Just lovely!

So interesting! We're you always intending to put the light streaming across the road and up the bank or was it out of necessity because you needed a way for the viewer's eye to travel through the painting? Same thing happened when you put the tree trunks it, it block our eyes from going off the frame to flow back to the strong contrast on the otherside.

Prefer the original and IMO it's more accurate. In the revision, if the sun is on the left casting light on the road wouldn't we see a bit of it filtering through the trees on the left?

I notice that when you originally did this painting, you added a lot more detail to the tree's leaves. Your style seems to be a lot looser now, so the repainted trees on the right have a lot less detail on the inside, (not in direct highlight). I don't think there's anything wrong with that, just an interesting observation. It's beautiful!

I liked the changes that you did by adding in some brighter colors. But the tree in the middle at the curve of the road seems off and unfinished. It has a darker green splotch in the lower portion with no dimension and part of the light bright green of that tree is in front of the dark green tree on the left which causes it to look like in is both in the background but also in front of a tree that is on the other side of the road. But I really enjoy watching how some adjustments can really improve a composition.
