Are you still cycling Tim? When I ride uphill standing, or sprint out of the saddle, I find the movement in the body fascinating. Head always moves over the feet and the body twists and coils to generate power. Every part of the body is utilised and under certain tension. I remember you said cycling ‘scratched an itch’, I wonder if it still plays a part in your training or if you learnt anything from it. ✌️

What's the deal with the rope training? Is it heavy? Or is it all about rhythm and full body engagement?

@@TimShieff I'm signed up Chieftain. My opinion: The central challenge is to address *reason to move*....especially in cases of injury, chronic disease and just in general.....an example, after using crutches for 13 years and then another 10 off crutches learning how to move, one thing I neglected due to pain and aggravation (low level and barely perceptible but still very present) was the drawing back of the shoulders,,,,,I mean I did a little bit of work on it, but everything changed for me when I started archery, huge motivation to do lots of uncomfortable, aggravating and kinda painful movements in-order to achieve the self image of being an Archer.......a few weeks of training exercises and just 4 hrs of classes and my shoulders are in the midst of a dramatic transformation.......would never have done / be doing those movements otherwise (instead presumably favoring on an unconscious level more easy, familiar and neutral or pleasurable movements) .....just some thoughts this afternoon :) ....the intro to Moshe Feldenkrais' Awareness Through Movement...is probably the most important thing I've ever read on the human condition. Cannot recommend it more. God speed Tim, you have been a huge inspiration on my journey and I've really appreciated your courage to go your own way, to go against the crowd, u = warrior!

Would a feedback from an overweight fourty seven year old chronic pain sufferer be of any use? Might be too high fidelity for your purposes. Synopsis: 'Twas the summer of '99, prolapsed disc L5S1, archaic medical advise at the start which set the scene for the following twenty+ years. Next July will mark the point at which I have been in pain for longer than I haven't. It's getting worse. I'm not sure I could spell gymnausium btw.

@@piperuk5366 Hello, Thank you for that. It's a strict keto right? Are you recommending from personal experience? I'm not sure I could afford it without using cheep (cruel) meat and zero fibre plus morphene does not appeal but I'll look into it properly. I do make a mean broth! I appreciate your tuppence. Jay.

@@TimShieff @Tim Shieff Why do you spend all your life dancing around with all sorts of excercices? We are humans, capable of building empires and using our intellect in professional careers and advancing our civilisations. All you do is live with an obsesive interest in dancing about like a chimp with silly movements. Pointless.
