A topic very close to my heart ! My hair has always been a defining trait of my appearance- it’s very long and dark and thick like a witch . Deep in the ed it would rain out in clumps and I felt so unattractive and low . I became terrified to shower in case any more fell out . I’ve been lucky that it’s still managed to recover . Trust the process is such a generic phrase but seriously it STANDS for something ♥️

I needed this right now. I feel like my hair is just a dead thing I’m carrying around. Anorexia has hugely taken its toll and my hair is thin, dry, and neither straight nor wavy and it used to be definitely wavy! This is really encouraging that this can be turned around. Just need to be patient! Thank you for everything you bring to this community

I would really appreciate more videos like this from you, Ro: focusing on self care and self compassion through and after recovery. One of my biggest stumbling blocks to committing to recovery is that I can’t express self compassion and kindness to myself. I wouldn’t dream of treating anyone else the way I treat myself but I feel I am less deserving and so have to so without kindness, softness and nourishment in all its forms, unlike everyone else on the planet. If you have any tips and experience of this and how you learn to overcome it that would be awesome! Thank you! Xxx

I love this topic! Your hair is absolutely beautiful! I would love for you to continue to make videos about different topics and struggles that are common, or not talked about, for people with eating disorders. If you feel comfortable, could you please make a video on your experience with losing your period and them trying to get it back? I am struggling with not wanting my period to come back but also wanting it to come back at the same time and I would really appreciate it you could talk about that since not many people talk about that type of thing during an eating disorder. Thank you so much for this video! You inspire me so much. Remember: You are Beautiful. You are Worthy. You are Enough. ❤

I've been doing all the things that you've mentioned but the big thing that changed besides the fatty acids they keep your hair in is upping my protein!!! Hair skin and nails need protein. I know when I was going through a time when I wasn't eating very much my haircut because of stress. I think you're being healthier happier and more content plays a role in all these things. I did notice that your hair sticking up quite a bit. This is a very nice video.

I'm legit in love with your curls 🙈 I feel so happy rn! Because I often feel weird when I talk with someone (friends/family) about my hair, but I'm proud of it! It has gotten so, so much better in 2021. Now it has a good thickness and I'm trying to grow it longer, plus it's so healthy 🤍 I think a huge impact on getting hair healthy is the mindset (and surely, medication if needed) - that (besides nourishing my body) made how it is today :) Oh, and I also have to use shampoo twice 😂 Have a nice Sunday and thank you for giving so many encouraging words (in general) - it still helps me to realize that I deserve to nourish my body and to give into my cravings. Talking about cravings: I want a glass of coke, so I'm gonna get it (if we have some here, lol) ^^ Love u & you're the best ❤️

Curly hair breaks more easily and doesn't get greasy as quickly, so it's generally recommended to wash once it twice per week depending on if it's coily or curly. I also dry my hair with a tshirt, it's less damaging and keeps the curl in better.

If you dive deep into researching the bad ingredients to avoid in shampoo’s and all hair products you will have a better understanding of how much more beautiful your hair will become because it all stems from below the scalp, the healthier your scalp is the healthier your hair will be; also get a scalp massager and massage your scalp once a day for at least 5 minutes covering your whole entire scalp, hard water is also another huge factor due to the harsh chemicals they put in water to treat it , get a good quality shower filter and a filter for the bath tub, it’s a very good and effective investment and your skin will also thank you.❤

I'd appreciate anyone answering this comment- I suffered a lot of hair loss from years of anorexia + bulimia, as well as anxiety. I have been prescribed an anti-anxiety medication, lexapro, but then I've read online that people get hair loss from it... Has anyone had this experience? Ro have you taken any meds and were the effects positive? thank you!!

Thank you for talking about this. If you don't mind me asking, did you notice that your fringe grew back at all? I'm so used to seeing you in your older clips without the fringe you have now. Is it 'cause you're styling your hair differently now, or did your fringe change as well during your recovery?
