HOW I CHANGED A NEGATIVE LIFE INTO A POSITIVE ONE, JEALOUSY, COMPARISON AND REAL FRIENDSHIP.
Disclaimer - Please note that I mention that this is not in reference to people suffering with mental health issues. A negative mind set is something that can be changed, I recognise that depression, anxiety and other mental health issues are not as simple as this! This video is intended to hopefully help and guide those who may have lost their sparkle a little.

Lillian Kruger you give me hope... I'm 35, left my job a year ago because I just couldn't be in that environment a second longer, and now I am completely lost, in full panic mode. Being in the corporate world for 15 years has drained me and left me with this "holy hell, who the hell am I?" void. Yet, leaving that world made me feel like I was actually taking control of my own life for once; it was intensely exhilarating & unnerving at the same time. Here's hoping it really does work out in the end 🤞🏽

This video is everything. I have wasted so many years trying to fit in, wondering why I don't have it all. Last year was my turning point I cut out anyone who wasn't good for me and decided to work on my own goals. I'm not exactly where I want to be but I'm getting closer everyday. Thank you for this video it means a lot to know that I'm not alone in how I have felt and how I'm feeling xx

Just discovered your channel. I am 54 years old and suffered from anxiety and depression since childhood, but a few years ago I really began to write down every little thing that I could be grateful for and it slowly began to work deep inside my soul to heal sooo much. The part of this that really inspired me was when you talk about everyone having their own land, and to try focusing on what you can bulid with your land rather than being envious of what someone else is doing with theirs. This description of one's own land with their own resources and own style, not limited resources or matching styles, gave me a visual I can use for daily motivation. Thank you!

But also other girls and boys out there who are in the current situation. It's great how your very vocal with the things that you earned by working hard to get them. And the goal settings is really useful for me and husband and also maintaining positivity. We're planning on a really big move and we're in need of a solid goal setting and positive foundation. Thank you for this video. Someone once said to me that if your ship doesn't come in, swim out to it. Stop expecting things to come to you. Working for it makes everything much more worthwhile. Firstly, you can't pour from an empty cup. Second, If you don't think you're worth spending your own time to make " you" happy why do you think anyone would think you are worth spending their time to make you happy? People take a queue of how to treat you from how you treat yourself....period! Treat yourself well and people will treat you well.

Beautiful Lydia, thank you for this wave of what I needed. I'm in this big dark tornado where I hate my office job for my city, it sucks, it's boring from monday to friday 9 to 5 I pay bills for the city. I so unhappy since 5 years now. So many people telling me nah you can't leave you have a job that pays you so do it and don't complain but it is depressing and a real burden that my health got affected with zona & anxiety. I have stability and nice pay checks but ugh I just can't anymore. I'm just a passionate, over the top like you, creative woman that lives for fashion & my famille. This year, I'll turn 27 and I decided that I'm gonna work my ass off to wake up every morning doing what I love dearly with my heart & soul. I don't care anymore about these negative comments on fashion industry. I'm just done pretending being ok because it might be a dream job for some, but NOT FOR ME. I'm gonna finish my University certificate and I will start the fashion business program I've been dreaming of for too long now. I am so excited and so happy to know that I can finally be who I am and do what I love, that it almost feel like a coming out you know I didn't want to disappoint my parents & hear people's degrading what I love the most. Finally .. when they realized where I was mentally, so tired and no more energy or motivation (which is anormal cause I'm an over the top girl) they finally understood that the government is not for every human being and they encouraged me on the path of MY happiness. All of this to say thank you for putting light in this dark not so dark anymore kind of place I was, since I watch you for a while and you helped me a lot through this even though you don't know me :) I can say that I love you cause you've been part of that process and I look up to positive hard worked women like you. Keep spreading love and joy around you, you can change people's lives without realizing!! I will start back my KZfaq channel I abandoned cause work took that motivation I had. I must be one in a thousands, but ya truly, thank you :) xx Sofia from Montreal/Canada : sofashion_mtl

We need more of these videos from Lydia. I've been on the fence about her for a while and find her much more relatable when she openly shares in this way. I realize it's hard to be fully authentic on social media as negativity can make you retreat and not want to share, but this is likely some of her best stuff. I hope she finds the confidence and strength to do more of these.

Lydia, I subscribed to your channel a week ago, not because I love designer shoes/bags/clothes. TBH, I don't have designer shoes/bags/clothes in my wardrobe (well, I have a Coach wallet lol, does that count??) but because I see the similarities that we both share: workout, makeup, skincare, the way we save money, mindset and etc. I watch your shopping videos, I enjoy them, and then I go on with my life because I have different goals than yours. I too, have come a long way to where I am now. Honestly, having your own goals, staying positive and not comparing myself with others are what helped me get through the rock bottom 8 years ago. Keep up the good work Lydia!! xoxo

I'm a stay at home Mom of four kids and we couldn't have more different lives but I do find so many similarities through your personality and style. Positive people attract other positive people in their lives. I REALLY related to you talking about how you appreciate the little joys in life and how you accept the the draw backs as well and move past them. You made this overwhelmed stay at home Mom have a brighter outlook on my day after watching this so keep doing what your doing Lydia ♥

Love seeing this side to you Lydia! We have a lot in common in the way we think. For the last 4 years, every night I write down at least 3 things that were positive or good about my day. When I began, I really struggled to think of 3 (which is crazy considering the fact I was sat with a roof over my head was 1 in itself) but now I can fill a page without hesitation. It's also so important to know when to cut toxic ties with people, sometimes you need to let go of someone to save yourself. X

Oh my goodness, Lydia, this was fantastic! Please make more videos like this. I couldn't agree more with what you shared. Going to be watching this one a few times just to make sure I'm fully absorbing everything. Comparison truly is the thief of joy, I fight the urge to compare myself to my grad school colleagues all the time. Grad school is a horrible environment for comparison, we all do it, but it makes us all miserable. Over the last year or so I've had to work really hard to stop comparing and my life is a lot happier because of it. Can't wait to see what other videos you do in this series, this was so relaxing to just sit back and hang out with you for a bit. :) xx

I just watched the minimalism documentary and learned a few things in my last psychology class and I can't believe how stuck I was in the consumerism world!! A lot of us grew up with commercials and a huge media influence telling us we need certain things to be happy, but according to the 75 year study by Harvard uni and a similar one by Boston uni, the key to happiness is having strong, intimate relationships with loved ones :) things have got into perspective for me now and thanks for being a huge influence and sharing the message 💛💛

The reason I keep coming back to your videos is because you have such a sincere way of delivering your content and I really feel like you are exactly the way you are in your videos as you are in real life. I've been watching youtubers for years and I've completely out grown all of the obvious faces because they keep delivering the same (quite frankly rubbish) content with no thought for growing with their audience! I truely love your sophisticated and thoughtful content and it's made me fall back in love with KZfaq! You go girl!

I think that as I've got older and grown up I've become more aware of everything. Like being grateful for the little things, I'm very grateful now but as a teen I literally didn't care about the things I do now. I love hearing the birds sing when I'm walking my dogs or a warm breeze. Your whole outlook on life changes as you grow I feel. When you've had different experiences, both good and bad. Great video!

This has made me so happy. I am 61 with systemic lupus. I don't look 61and I don't look like I have a chronic illness and it bugs some people. Everything you speak on is so on point it sounds like it's coming from a sage. Shopping has always made me happy so I get it. You are a remarkable young woman. Stay happy and healthy.

You get out of life what you put into it. If you put nothing in, you get nothing out but that's with anything. Time will pass no matter if your sitting on your ass or if you're striving to make a better life for yourself. I like that you accomplished a lot in one year. I think everyone starting out should work their ass off and look back that first year and say, Wow, if I can do all that in a year think what I can accomplish in 5 yrs and set some goals. Don't let anyone slow you down or discourage you.

OMG, this couldn't have come at a better time! This is what I'm going thru right now, I could literally stay in bed all day for weeks because I keep comparing myself to others and how I've not achieved what I've wanted to by now. Knowing you've gone thru this and are finding you're happiness is starting to help me see I can still get it together and go forward. THANK YOU😘😘😘

This is such a lovely video, and you're such a great role model for EVERYONE. Not just bloggers and not just females. Truly everyone. I adore that you did your channel YOUR WAY because so many people are doing their channels the way others are and it eliminates the authenticity + sometimes I feel like I've watched the same video 17 times already. I love your channel so much, and it has quickly become my favorite! xx

I'm 19 and this video really did help. I had so many pals when I left school but know I hardly don't talk to no one, I don't have friends because I feel like no one likes me at all, as hard as I try to make friends I just can't, I look at other people friendships and I wish that was me. I focus more on life goals then friends and that's what I feel like I'm doing wrong. But amazing video Lydia really helped x

Thanks for the great, inspiration video, Lydia. I am 66 years old and have realized these things you speak of, although, a little late in life. You are an inspiration for not only me but for younger ladies. Every summer, I find a person to binge watch for fashion. Yesterday, I filled up two large bags of clothes to donate to charity while listening to one of your vlogs. While doing it I tried on a lot of clothes and got refreshed about my own fashion sense and style. Keep up the good work!

Nadi nadi well I have a partner that I love, but I don't know any other person I would like to be friend with as there are no inspiring people where I live... There are many things that are interesting for me, but not enough to make me "burn" for them. Same with the whole job thing.. of course I'd love expensive stuff in my wardrobe but that's not a real dream in my opinion, neither do I like the jobs that lead to such a big amount of money.

Couple of years ago I could say the same about myself. All I had to do was just give myself (and my life) time, but hell no :) I was eating myself alive because of how frustrating it was. Here I am now, still kind of crappy and uncertain situation, but now I know what I want. My point is, I guess, if you don't know what you want, just try different things, look at something new, but give yourself time.

I can SO relate to everything you said! Especially the "I spent a lot of time in bed"- part. I have been there and the more we have the courage to talk about these things(our past) the more people we meet who have gone trough the same. It feels so good to share and maybe change even only one person's life! You're a wonderful human being and worked hard to get the life you imagined (and even more). With all the jealousy and the hate, we always should remind ourselves of the fact that people always (re)act within their own mental and emotional (like in emotional intelligence) capacities. And some just aren't as blessed with this as others. All the best wishes from Germany. xo

You are not too old for your Master's. Learning and growing is not just for the young. Is your Master's and opportunity to grow or just a piece of paper? I hope it's a growing opportunity and that is not limited by your age. Why limit yourself? If this is what you want, then go for it. Lots of people get their degrees when they are old. No excuses. Go for it.

i am about to turn 35. i have totally started thinking exactly like you. i'm a professional woman, so I have accomplished a lot, but that was in my 20s. In my 30s, i got into a job, got into a slump, making great money that I appreciate a lot, but i found that i was gaining weight, not taking care of myself, and NOT COMPLETING THINGS (ie, I paid for and started metalsmithing, blog writing, fitness training, and painting classes, ALL of which i just stopped going to). So, up until my summer birthday of this year, I have decided that I will COMPLETE things that I start, TAKE CONTROL of my health and fitness, and develop positive attitude-building habits. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing.
